The Angels Camp Police Department is searching for the owners of a toolbox and a wheelchair found abandoned on Main Street around the New Year’s holiday.

Teresa Johnson of the Angels Camp Police Department said, as of Wednesday, the department still has not been contacted by anyone claiming to be the owners of the property.

An orange toolkit containing an array of wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers and ratchets was found by a patrol officer on Dec. 31 on Main Street.

A black collapsible wheelchair with a blue brand on the side was found on Main Street on Jan. 3.

Johnson said the department does not believe the items are associated with a crime but were either lost or abandoned in the area.

The Angels Camp Police Department requests that anyone who knows the owners or believes they own the property contact the department at (209) 736-2567.
