The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

5:27 a.m., miscellaneous codes — A person in a motorhome on Stockton Road used electrical utilities from an old building.

6:48 a.m., theft — Two men stole two chainsaws and a blower, and then stashed the items in a creek bed on Woods Creek Drive. A responding officer was not able to locate the suspects, but found the property and returned it to the rightful owner.

12:17 p.m., lost, found property — A child’s bike was left on an Alpine Lane property for more than a week.

5:22 p.m., burglary — Three men climbed out a window of the historic Sonora Dome on South Barretta street and walked down the “big stairs” above the street.

7:21 p.m., assault — A person took a “fighting stance” toward someone on North Shepherd Street, but no fight occurred.

TUESDAY

7:56 a.m., animal complaints — A woman who repeatedly visited a Greenley Road facility to feed feral cats was asked to leave the property.

8:07 a.m., burglary — A house on Yaney Avenue was broken into during the night and clothes and other items were left inside.

9:54 a.m., traffic violations — Drivers ran the stoplight on Stockton Road onto Washington Street because the light was malfunctioning.

12:39 p.m., animal complaints — A woman walked past a car parked in a Sanguinetti Road parking lot and heard bird sounds coming from the trunk. No birds were located by a responding officer.

5:07 p.m., miscellaneous codes — A woman in a yellow dress urinated in front of children at a Hospital Road facility.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

8:04 a.m., Sonora — A person on Tuolumne Road detected “the smell of death” near an abandoned house.

8:39 a.m., Tuolumne — A person said there was a homeless camp with a lot of trash near a campground on Cottonwood Road.

2:59 p.m., Sonora — A purse was stolen out of a vehicle on Tuolumne Road while the owner delivered a pizza.

11:26 p.m., Jamestown — A man loitered near the pumps at a Highway 108 gas station and approached drivers of different cars.

11:40 p.m., Jamestown — A camera was stolen from a McKibbin Drive property and a person left behind a knife.

TUESDAY

1:35 a.m., Twain Harte — A 67-year-old woman on Dogwood Drive fell down while drinking and required medical assistance.

10:24 a.m., Columbia — A sliding glass window was broken at a residence on Highway 49.

2:45 p.m., Jamestown — A man left his trailer on a Daly Court property two years ago, and when he returned to pick it up, he discovered the property owners had put it up for sale.

2:47 p.m., Twain Harte — A man who wore all black and carried backpack filmed parents and students leaving a school on Manzanita Drive.

3:10 p.m., Sonora — A Ferrari Road resident complained about a drone that seemed to fly above her house every time she was in the pool.

5:07 p.m., Columbia — A person purchased a cell phone from an online marketplace and was told by the carrier the phone was stolen.

10:20 p.m., Jamestown — People walked up stairs and sat in breezeways at a Preston Lane apartment complex and a resident believed they were in possession of drug paraphernalia.

11:13 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman ran over a man’s foot with her car on Carter Street, but he denied medical service.

10:47 p.m., Jamestown — Miranda Gene Hunt, 48, of the 105700 block of of Seventh Street, was booked after an arrest on Fifth Street and Willow Street.

11:08 p.m., Sonora — Barrett Arnold Lawrence, 61, of the 18600 block of Woodham Carne Road, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and obstructing a peace officer after an arrest on Highway 108 and South Washington Street.

11:29 p.m., Sonora — Jaswant Singh, 29, unknown address, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 and Stockton Road.
