Garden problem clinic,
plant sale today in San Andreas

The Calaveras County Master Gardeners’ Demonstration Garden will present an Open Garden day June 24 at the garden, 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.

The garden will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The subject of the day will be a landscape and garden problem-solving clinic, and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer home-gardening questions.

A plant sale from 10 a.m. to noon will include a variety of heirloom vegetables.

When the garden is not open, home gardening assistance is offered through the Master Gardener help line at (209) 754-2880.

Prize drawing
will benefit homeless cats

The Calaveras Humane Society will benefit from a prize drawing for a two-night stay at a luxury villa in the Villa Vallecito Vineyards.

Tickets cost $10 each, three for $25 or 15 for $100. Only 500 tickets will be sold. The winner will be drawn July 4 (winner need not be present to win).

Fiber artists meet July 8

The Studio 49 Fiber Arts Group will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 8 at the Tuolumne County Library.

Anyone interested in fiber arts — spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting — is welcome.

The library is at 540 Greenley Road in Sonora. This will be the group’s last meeting until September.
