Soroptimist Crab Feed slated for Jan. 13
Soroptimist International of Twain Harte will hold its annual All You Can Eat Crab Feed Jan. 13 at the Tuolumne Veterans’ Memorial Hall.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and dinner will begin at 5 p.m. Dinner will include clam chowder, pasta, salad, all-you-can-eat crab and dessert. A box opportunity drawing also will be held.

Proceeds will be used for local community projects.
Tickets on sale for Odd Fellows dinner
Tickets are on sale now for the 2018 Odd Fellows Burns Supper, a celebration of Scottish culture and Scottish poet Robert Burns.
The evening will include a traditional Scottish dinner, bagpipes and Scotch, toasts, speeches and works by Burns.
The event is a fundraiser for the Sonora Odd Fellows Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides financial support and services for Tuolumne County’s foster youth, sick and the elderly.
The dinner will be held Jan. 27 at the Hurst Ranch barn off Highway 108 in Jamestown. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Murphys Celtic club to co-host Dec. 12 Irish Yuletide Feast
The Western Sierra Celtic Society and chef Jason Gill will present a traditional Irish winter holiday dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 12 at Murphys Irish Pub, 415 Main St., in downtown Murphys.
Cost for the meal is $27 per person, and the Irish menu will offer a choice of roast beef with Guinness Irish beer au jus or chicken pot pie, served with an Irish sausage, potatoes Colcannon and mixed vegetables. There will be an Irish dessert for an additional charge.
The club will forego its usual cultural program to allow members of the public to meet members and learn about its year-round social activities.
Founded in June, the nonprofit Irish-Scottish society meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the pub. Membership is open to all, regardless of family ancestry.
