Barrels, Brews
and Bites set Saturday

The Sonora Sunrise Rotary Club will present Barrels, Brews and BitesSaturday at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park.

The event, 2 to 5 p.m. will feature wines from local wineries, a home-brewers competition, gourmet food pairings and live music.

Tickets cost $45 per person pre-sale (through Oct. 8) or $55 the week of the event.

Tradition pasty dinner on menu Saturday

Soulsbyville United Methodist Church will hold its annual Pasty Dinner on Saturday.

The hearty meat pastry pockets, filled with seasoned steak, potatoes and onions, will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church, 19982 Community Drive in Soulsbyville. The full menu will include pasties, salad, homemade desserts and drinks.

Cost is $10 per person.

Take-out orders will be offered but must be ordered by Oct. 13 by calling (209) 928-4333 or (209) 532-7828.

Fine food, wine,
cider tasting planned

Sampling of fine food, wines and ciders will be offered Oct. 24 when Black Oak Casino Resort and the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce present A Sip of Wine, A Taste of Food and a Touch of Business.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seven Sisters at Black Oak Casino Resort in Tuolumne.

A silent auction also will be held.
