During the past couple of years, Leilani and The Distractions have performed at venues throughout the Mother Lode and beyond. Recent performances have included Winters Tavern, Emberz, Sonora Tap Room and the Bourbon Barrel in downtown Sonora along with shows in Calaveras County.

The “Distractions” lineup includes Leilani Villamor on guitar and vocals; Ridge Schneider on drums; Keno Rojas on guitar; and Erich Quinn on bass guitar.

At tonight’s show, they will also feature Leo Rosales of the Latin/jazz group Malo (on timbales/percussion), and Ras Beeken Dan from Jill and the Giants (on saxophone). Additionally, the “Attractions” (singers/dancers) joining the band tonight are Abby Castleberry, Suzanne Hennessy, Terra Manthorne and April Foster.

The band will be playing songs from Camila Cabello, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, Sublime, Jimi Hendrix, and Maroon 5, among others.

“I’m excited for this show because everyone in the group including the dancers have ties to this county and each other, and they all are getting their night to shine — to show their family and friends just how amazing they truly are as artists and lovers of music,” Villamor said. “I’m proud to share the stage with great performers and believers.”

Stompbox

Stompbox will take the Willow Creek stage at 9 p.m. Friday to perform its blues-infused rock.

Performing together since August 2016, this five-piece band features a strong rhythm section and a powerhouse vocalist who loves to interact with the crowd.

Band members include Kerry Tweedy on lead vocals; Adam Brown on lead guitar and vocals; Loren Kaiser on drums; Dan Ward on bass; and Brad Schlafley on keyboards.

Some of the band’s favorite tunes that they’ll be playing Friday night range from Elle King’s “Ex’s & Oh’s” and Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” to The Pretenders’ “Brass in Pocket” and Peter Frampton’s “Show Me The Way.”

“The Stompbox band loves performing at Black Oak Casino and we really appreciate them giving a local band like us an opportunity to pack the house on a Friday night,” Tweedy said. “It’s a great venue for our community and the twinkle light background of the new stage at the Willow Creek Lounge looks and feels a bit magical. As a band, when you look out on a packed dance floor and room full of people having a great time and joining you on a musical ride, there is no better feeling.”
