The Tuolumne County Genealogical Society will hold its annual seminar and workshop Oct. 14 at the LDS Family History Center in East Sonora.

Writer, speaker and humorist Catherine (Clemens) Sevenau will be featured speaker. She is the author of “Queen Bee, Reflections on Life and Other Rude Awakenings” and “Passages from Behind these Doors, a Family Memoir.” She was born in Sonora and grew up in the state in the 1950s and 1960s.

Other workshop topics will include a choice of beginning genealogy, LDS family search and relative finder, timelines or find-a-grave.

Pre-registration costs $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and costs $35 at the door.
