The ninth annual Sgt. Bobby Rapp Memorial Scholarship Ride Poker Run/Rerun will take place Saturday, more than two months after the originally scheduled event was snowed out. Registration for the event will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Jamestown Harley-Davidson on Highway 108 in Jamestown. The $20 entry fee covers a poker scorecard, scavenger hunt card, ride pin (to the first 150 to sign up), a meal ticket and special rider raffle ticket. The meal will include a barbecued chicken or hamburger lunch, and a silent auction and raffle will be held. Proceeds are used to provide scholarships to local high school students. For more information, call (209) 768-6174 or email . The ride is done in honor of Rapp, a Sonora man who died in Afghanistan in 2008 while serving in the U.S. Army.
