Great community

To the Editor:

Last week my good friend Freddy Hendrix, 26, passed on into heaven.

Saturday I watched as hundreds of people came to remember him and to show their support for his family.

I know they were overwhelmed by the love that was shown. I love how this community gathers around those in need and hope we can do it once again.

Freddy left behind a phenomenal wife and two adorable children.

I know that they would never ask for anything on their own behalf. So, I urge you to pray for them over the upcoming weeks, months and years.

The Freddy Hendrix Memorial Fund has been set up at Bank of America in Sonora. I thank everyone, in advance, for their prayers. I know Freddy would be proud of his hometown.

Giddy over ‘All Shook Up’

To the Editor:

"The story is new. The hits are all Elvis.”

My lady and I went to Sonora Repertory Theatre on a recent Friday night. We went to see “All Shook Up,” and had no idea what to expect. What a wonderful surprise we got. We had a ball. The entire production was, how do you say it, fantastic.

We went in without having a clue what it was about and left giggling. It has been playing since Oct 24 and the audience gave the cast a standing ovation. Well deserved!

I can’t say enough about our SRT, either the Sonora or Columbia locations. I suggest that no matter what production it is you’ll love it.
