TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff's reports WEDNESDAY 7:26 a.m., Columbia A caller said he saw a transient in a sleeping bag next to North Airport Road and was concerned for the man's safety. 1:08 p.m., East Sonora A teller at Money Mart on the 13700 block of Mono Way said a woman there was causing a disturbance. 2:14 p.m., Standard A Curtis Creek School administrator said a student reported another student with drugs on campus. The administrator asked for a deputy to come to the school. 4:29 p.m., East Sonora A woman said she lost her wallet while shopping at a store in The Junction shopping center, and fears someone might have used her credit cards to make Internet purchases. 5:31 p.m., Rancho Sonora Estates A caller said the driver of a small brown car keeps parking in front of mailboxes on Eureka Drive, prohibiting residents from getting to their mailboxes. 5:41 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18200 block of Maple Alley said the driver of a passing car threw a piece of wood at her dog today. 7:15 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 19000 block of Superior Drive said a bicycle was stolen from the house. 9:08 p.m., Tuolumne A caller said a man wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, carrying a beer, appeared to be drunk while walking down Pine Street. Arrests Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol: Jenna Lynn Dotson, 35, 300 block of Adrian Street, Sonora, booked at 10:15 a.m. yesterday after an arrest on Highway 108 at Stockton Road, Sonora. Jeffrey Allan McNeil, 41, 12700 block of Old Miner Road, Columbia, booked at 7:45 p.m. yesterday after arrest on the 21000 block of Old Columbia Way, Sonora. Sonora police reports WEDNESDAY 8:10 a.m., traffic accident A man reported a non-injury hit-and-run crash that occurred Sunday in a parking lot at the intersection of Gold and South Stewart streets. 11:51 a.m., theft An employee at JS West and Symons on the 700 block of South Washington Street reported a "theft and run" incident. Someone was seen running from the business, but an officer was unable to tell if anything was taken. A report was not taken. 6:41 p.m., harassment A woman said a man continues to harass her at her workplace. 8:45 p.m., controlled substances A caller said there were three young men who looked like they were passing around drugs behind a candy booth at a business in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. 11:31 p.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked on people seen around a house on Morning Star Drive. A deputy said the object appeared to be a car muffler. 9:48 a.m., Mokelumne Hill A mini-storage unit at Hertzig Mini Storage on the 9200 block of Highway 26 was burglarized. 3:07 p.m., Valley Springs A teen was detained after allegedly shoplifting from Mar-Val Food Stores on the 50 block of Highway 26. 3:43 p.m., Arnold A teen said he was tackled by another teen while on the way home from a bus stop. 3:54 p.m., Arnold A teen-age girl said she was approached by a man in a white car on Meadowview Road who asked if she wanted a ride home. Felony bookings WEDNESDAY 11:20 a.m., San Andreas John Ervin Rutt, 31, 1500 block of Nicholas Lane, Murphys, booked on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and violating his parole after an arrest at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital. According to a sheriff's department report, Rutt, employed as a hospital lift technician, was arrested after an investigation by Detective Chris Villegas and Deputy Wade Whitney. The officers said Rutt allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old female co-worker in various locations throughout the hospital over the last three months. Rutt remained in custody this morning, held without bail because of the parole violation. |
