TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff's reports MONDAY 7:55 a.m., Twain Harte A woman found a bicycle by the side of Golf Club Drive between Muir Avenue and Placer Drive. 9:17 a.m., Sonora area A woman said a gray pickup has been parked by the side of East Bald Mountain Road for three days. 11:28 a.m., Jamestown area A Chicken Ranch Bingo employee Sunday retained a credit card used that had been reported stolen. 11:40 a.m., Columbia area A caller told the California Highway Patrol that two people were climbing a telephone pole on Shaws Flat Road near Springfield Road. 1:54 p.m., East Sonora A caller said a woman, about 40 years old, wearing a brown jacket was looking into vehicles parked in The Junction shopping center lot. When the woman saw the caller, she walked to a bus stop. 3:27 p.m., Tuttletown A man on the 7600 block of Reynolds Ferry Road said a scraper valued at $200 was stolen from his tractor. 4:58 p.m., West Tuolumne County Deputies and Highway Patrol officers were unable to locate a man said to have been parked next to Highway 108 near Green Springs Road. Two callers said the man was gripping a woman's arm and she was crying. 8:55 p.m., Jamestown A clerk at a convenience store on Main Street and Highway 108 said a suspicious-looking man was in the store about four times over the last four hours. 11:25 p.m., Tuolumne A caller said a man who appeared to be drunk was tangled up in a barbed wire fence, calling for help on the 18000 block of Laurel Avenue. Felony bookings TUESDAY 9:14 a.m., Sonora Derek Michael Wooden, 20, 19200 block of Rawhide Road, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance, failure to appear in court and probation violation after arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning without bail. 3:12 p.m., Sonora Brandon Jeffrey Stearns, 27, 17300 block of Monte Grande Road, Soulsbyville, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance, failure to appear in court and probation violation after arrest at his home. He remained held without bail this morning. TODAY 3:09 a.m., Jamestown Devon Cody Salyers, 18, 18200 block of Main Street, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on Main Street, Jamestown. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail. Sonora police reports MONDAY 10 a.m., theft An unidentified person said someone stole a camera from a school bus parked at Sonora High School. 12:46 p.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked on a vehicle on North Norlin Street. 1:21 p.m., found property A license plate was found at an undisclosed location. 6:16 p.m., harassment A woman said believed she was being stalked by a man on South Washington Street. 10:29 p.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked on an open gate at a business on Stockton Road. Accidents Injury .............................. 0 Non-injury ..................... 1 Fires TUESDAY 9:15 a.m., Sonora A fire was reported in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning system at A Touch of Heaven Spa on the 13900 block of Mono Way. The fire was caused by overheating in the system. Damage was estimated at $300. Rick Wentworth owns the property. Margie Brown of Sonora is the tenant. Tuolumne County Fire Department and California Department of Forestry responded. CALAVERAS COUNTY Sheriff's reports MONDAY 7:21 a.m., Angels Camp A caller said someone was waving a light from the water at New Melones Reservoir. A boat patrol sergeant was unable to locate any trouble. 7:31 a.m., Arnold A man on the 1600 block of Jerrilynn Drive said his Volkswagen was pushed under his house and other strange things were going on. 7:53 a.m., San Andreas A caller said someone broke into classrooms at Toyon Middle School. 1:12 p.m., Glencoe A house on the 200 block of Rich Gulch Road was reported burglarized. 4:37 p.m., San Andreas A caller said a woman was looking into vehicles parked at a business on Highway 49. A deputy determined the woman was just waiting for her son who was attending a meeting. 9:25 p.m., West Point A man said a woman who claimed he owed her $20 for a pizza starting hitting him while the two were at a business on the 70 block of Acorn Way. Felony bookings MONDAY 9:45 a.m., San Andreas Arliss Gregory Kosta, 22, 12600 block of Angier Road, Lodi, booked on a warrant charging him with marijuana cultivation and conspiracy to commit a crime after he turned himself in at the sheriff's department. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail. 9:45 a.m., San Andreas Cyrus Metzger, 26, 300 block of Mariposa Street, San Andreas, booked on a warrant charging him with marijuana possession for sale and conspiracy to commit a crime. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $70,000 bail. 11 a.m., San Andreas Christopher Brian Arbour, 19, 1400 block of Fricot City Road, Sheep Ranch, booked on a warrant charging him with first-degree robbery after he turned himself in at the sheriff's department. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $30,000 bail. |
