One new member will join four incumbents Monday when Calaveras County supervisors appoint representatives of their districts to serve on the county Planning Commission.

Planning commissioners of the first four supervisorial districts — Ted Allured of District 1, Michael Dell'Orto of District 2, Suzanne Kuehl of District 3 and Bill Mason of District 4 — have all reapplied for their jobs uncontested.

Who will represent District 5, however, might not be known until Monday.

District 5 Supervisor Victoria Erickson said earlier this week she has not chosen her finalist from among six who applied.

Applicants for the District 5 commissioner seat are Valley Springs residents Shirley Moore, James Estorga and Wes Hodgson, and Copperopolis residents Katherine Bowers, Betsy Duncan and David Lander.

The board Monday will also appoint residents in their districts to sit on a variety of community boards.
