FRIDAY

7:42 a.m., Standard area — Mail was reported stolen from two houses on the 17600 block of Buttercup Circle.

8:20 a.m., Tuolumne — A Black Oak Casino security officer reported the casino received a counterfeit $100 bill.

8:53 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said a man she didn't know was pounding on her door.

8:54 a.m., Soulsbyville — A Soulsbyville Elementary School teacher said a video camera valued at $900 was stolen while she was away from her classroom with her students.

10:06 a.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 19000 block of Mi-Wuk Street said three vehicles and their drivers were stuck on his property and he wanted to report them as trespassers.

10:15 a.m., Jamestown — A man on the 8900 block of French Flat Road said tools and two car batteries were stolen from his vehicle.

1:19 p.m., Tuolumne — An employee at Tuolumne Market on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road said he caught two men taking beer its storage area behind the business.

3:33 p.m., East Sonora — A man said he was threatened by an employee at a fast-food restaurant on the 13000 block of Mono Way.

4:05 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said when she went to a pharmacy on the 13700 block of Mono Way to pick up her pain medication the clerk told her another person had picked the pills up and had forged her signature.

8:28 p.m., Quail Hollow — A woman on the 20200 block of Partridge Way said she saw someone throw a rock through her window and run away.

8:48 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller on North Tuolumne Road said kids were throwing snowballs with rocks inside at passing cars.

12:29 a.m. Tuolumne — A man on the 18500 block of Main Street said a hand truck was stolen from his backyard.

12:20 p.m., Groveland — A house on the 22600 block of Hells Hollow Road was reported being burglarized.

1:45 p.m., Phoenix Lake — A woman on Alder Lane said two boys were seen shooting a rifle and a handgun underneath a bridge on Alder Lane near Lower Hillview.

2:15 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a man was going through a Dumpster looking for more than just cans.

4:59 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man on the 19700 block of Soulsbyville road reported the theft of a car battery.

9:50 p.m., East Sonora — A caller saw a possible drunken driver leaving The Junction shopping center. The caller gave a sheriff's dispatcher the license plate number of the car the man was driving.

10 p.m., Tuolumne — A Black Oak Casino security officer detained a Fremont man so a deputy could talk to him about using a fake identification card.

10:08 p.m., Soulsbyville — A caller said drivers were spinning donuts and making a lot of noise at Soulsbyville Elementary School.

11:39 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 23700 block of Leisure Drive said a window was broken in the house, possibly by one of two men who were at the house earlier in the evening.

11:56 p.m., Jamestown area — A caller reported a possibly drunken man was causing a problem at the Sheriff's Posse headquarters on the 19100 block of Rawhide Road.

SUNDAY

9:09 a.m., Belleview Oaks — A man on the 2100 block of Robin Hill Road reported that his neighbor killed a deer. The neighbor told a deputy that a little deer was in his yard stomping on his small dog.

11:25 a.m., Twain Harte — A man said a snowboard valued at $350 was stolen out of the back of his pickup while it was parked on Twain Harte Drive.

1:07 p.m., Dodge Ridge — A Dodge Ridge employee requested a deputy to come to the ski area for a possible theft of skis. The woman who owned the skis was not sure, however, if they were stolen or if a friend picked them up.

5:42 p.m., East Sonora — A woman returned toys to a store at The Junction shopping center after she discovered her son put them under his jacket.

7:03 p.m., Jamestown — A woman reported the front door at a business on the 18200 block of Fifth Avenue was open when the business was closed. She was worried that items could have been stolen.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

12:41 p.m., Columbia — Michael Evan Douglass, 18, homeless, Sonora, booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and misdemeanor reckless driving after an arrest on Parrotts Ferry Road and Columbia Village Drive, Columbia.

According to a sheriff's department report, Douglass was seen driving a blue sports car in reverse on Parrotts Ferry Road. When a deputy pulled Douglass over and asked him why he was driving in reverse. Douglass said the car would not go forward. Douglass did not have the car's registration. He told a deputy the car had been abandoned for eight days so he was taking it to a friend's house.

He said he started the car with his thumb.

Douglass remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

SATURDAY

12:09 a.m., Sonora — Charles Alan Woodward, 23, 1000 block of South Washington Street, Sonora, booked on Tuolumne County warrants charging him with narcotics violations, violation of probation and failure to appear in court after arrest at a Washington Street tavern. Woodward was held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

10:28 p.m., Soulsbyville area — Vernon Joseph Wirth, 33, Swimming Pool Lane, Moccasin, booked on Trinity County narcotics warrants after arrest on Highway 108 east of Soulsbyville Road. Wirth was held in lieu of $10,000 bail this morning.

SUNDAY

2:49 p.m., Tuolumne — Robert Thomas Scannell, 53, no street address given, Tuolumne, booked on suspicion of parole violation after arrest on Tuolumne Road at Pine Street. According to the Sheriff's Department, Scannell was drunk and gave a false name to an officer when questioned. He was held without bail this morning.

Raymond Lee Taylor, 34, 20200 block of Canyonview Drive, Tuolumne, booked at 7:53 p.m., Sunday after arrest on North Tuolumne Road.

2:12 a.m., citizen assist — An officer helped move a stalled pickup on Mono Way.

3:33 a.m., suspicious circumstances — The gate to the Sonora Police Department shooting range on Southgate Road was found unlocked by a police officer.

8:06 a.m., suspicious circumstances — a "white male adult" was yelling at cars on Stockton Road.

8:41 a.m., theft — A man said a computer was taken off his desk at the Sonora Seventh-day Adventist Church on the 100 block of North Forest Road.

1:05 p.m., theft — Two juveniles in custody for shoplifting at Rite Aid Pharmacy on the 800 block of Mono Way were turned over to their parents.

2:48 p.m., vandalism — A car was vandalized in a parking lot on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

6:02 p.m., vandalism — A gas pump at Gold Country Gas on the 300 block of South Washington Street was damaged by a vehicle.

12:07 p.,m., counterfeit bills — Pak 'n' Save in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center reported that a customer, who had since left the store, had "tried to pass counterfeit $20 bills."

1:17 p.m., disturbance — A fight was reported in the 300 block of North Washington Street.

1:34 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on Lyons Street.

3:33 p.m., theft — A cellular phone was reported stolen from a locked car parked near the Sonora High School pool.

4:04 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller from the 60 block of South Stewart Street reported seeing "a man with a guitar zipping up his pants."

4:15 p.m., disturbance — A contentious customer left the Timber Hills shopping center when told officers were on their way.

5:13 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on South Stewart Street.

5:56 p.m., disturbance — A fight was reported at The Junction shopping center.

2:54 a.m., assist — An ambulance was dispatched to the 400 block of Greenley Road to take an expectant mother to the hospital.

11:03 a.m., assist — An officer helped free a driver and car locked in the old PG&E lot near Sonora High School.

12:22 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller reported that a tree near a retaining wall "was about to fall."

1:54 p.m., suspicious circumstances — "A man screaming to himself" was reported on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

8:23 a.m., assist — Officers helped Tuolumne General Hospital officials subdue a psychiatric ward inmate who tried to hit a nurse and then ran naked down a hall.

2:08 a.m., Douglas Flat — Gatlin Dewan Hampton, 19, 1800 block of Sugar Pine Way, Douglas Flat, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats after an arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

7:45 a.m., Burson — Delores Dee Pautler, 30, 500 block of North Lincoln, Manteca, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on Highway 12 at Burson Road, Burson. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

2:35 a.m., Murphys — James Franklin Vanbuskirk, 23, 900 block of East G Street, Oakdale, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on Highway 12 west of Murphys. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

6:45 p.m., Arnold — Dennis Patrick Rivera, 40, 2900 block of Country Club Drive, Arnold, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats after an arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.
