THURSDAY

7 a.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18100 block of Seco Street said a neighbor saw someone try to open the man's garage door about midnight.

9:18 a.m., Standard area — A man said he received a check for an item he was selling on eBay that was more than the agreed upon purchase price. The buyer now wants the man to reimburse him for the difference and the man thought it was a scam.

9:51 a.m., Sonora Meadows — A woman on the 16000 block of Creekside Drive said money was stolen from her unlocked truck.

11:09 a.m., Crystal Falls — A man on the 21500 block of Eel River Drive said his wallet and a pack of cigarettes were stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

1:08 p.m., Jamestown — A man said his wife received a counterfeit $10 bill in change from a mini-mart in Jamestown.

1:14 p.m., Columbia — A man said a motor was stolen from his boat stored in a vehicle-storage lot on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

1:35 p.m., Crystal Falls — A man said a large amount of trash was dumped at the Crystal Falls Center the 21000 block of Crystal Falls Drive.

5:04 p.m., Mono Village — A caller said a tall, skinny man was hanging around apartments on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane looking into windows.

6:05 p.m., Soulsbyville — A caller said a man on a riding lawn mower was mowing grass at a community park on Via Este while holding a 1-year-old child in his lap. The caller thought the man was endangering the child.

6:19 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a man was attacked and bitten by a pit bull on Madrone Street at Rozier Avenue. The man was taken to Tuolumne General Hospital and the caller knew where the dog lived.

6:29 p.m., East Sonora — A Burger King employee said a possibly drunken woman went through the drive-through lane of the restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way. The employee gave a dispatcher the license plate number of the woman's car.

7:17 p.m., Groveland — A man said tools fell off the back of his truck while he was driving on Highway 120.

8:45 p.m., East Sonora — A Best Western Sonora Oaks motel employee said money was stolen from a vending machine.

10:38 p.m., Tuolumne — A Summerville High School teacher said a man and woman were yelling at each other and breaking bottles at the school entrance.

7:18 a.m., Mi Wuk Village — A woman on the 20900 block of Lama Road said a stereo was stolen from her son's car during the night.

8:11 a.m., Big Oak Flat — A caller said a woman punched her three times after stopping and accusing the caller of following too close on Old Priest Grade Road.

9:24 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said her husband's truck was vandalized and broken into on the 17600 block of Woods Way.

9:30 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 18600 block of Mother Lode Drive said kids were trespassing in one of her rentals.

9:51 a.m., Cedar Ridge — A woman on the 17000 block of East Brookside Drive said someone was in her vehicle last night.

10:16 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said a counterfeit $10 bill was passed at a store on the 9900 block of Victoria Way.

10:47 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 16600 block of Lime Kiln Road said suspicious information was sent to him over the Internet.

11:28 a.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 19100 block of Tuolumne Road North said he received a suspicious letter in the mail.

12:24 p.m., Tuolumne County — A woman said her wallet was stolen from her vehicle last week.

12:26 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said an off-highway vehicle was taken from her garage on the 20200 block of Gibbs Drive last night.

1:18 p.m., Sonora area — A man said there was a verbal argument on the 11700 block of Campo Seco Road.

1:34 p.m., Groveland — A woman on O'Shaughnessy Road said a yellow helicopter with lots of windows flew down the canyon and over O'Shaughnessy Dam about 8 a.m.

1:56 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said damage was done to Summerville Elementary School by skateboarders riding on the school's deck last weekend.

2:29 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller from a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road said they found what looked like drugs in a bag.

2:33 p.m., Sonora area — A man said someone just drove a tractor on his driveway on the 19000 block of Lambert Lake Road to get to another piece of property.

7 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller said the manager of Twain Harte Pharmacy was detaining a woman for shoplifting.

7:13 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her vehicle was keyed on the 11300 block of Columbia Village Drive.

7:57 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 20800 block of Saratoga Road said a man just looked through her window and took off.

7:58 p.m., Sonora area — A caller on Highway 108 said a loud group of people were on the new bypass screaming and yelling.

11:30 p.m., Columbia — A man said he was hit over the head with a bottle and punched in the face at a business on Parrotts Ferry Road.

8:23 a.m., Sonora area — A truck was stolen from a business on the 1100 block of Mono Way during the night.

9:50 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 16800 block of American River Drive said his gun was either lost or stolen.

11:13 a.m., Tuolumne — A drunken man was reported at a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road.

11:47 a.m., Jamestown area — A man driving down Jacksonville Road said a woman with a cut on her chest yelled "he's after me" and tried to flag him down.

12:16 p.m. Sonora area — A man on the 19000 block of Lambert Lake Road said someone just drove across his property to access someone else's property.

2:33 p.m., Big Oak Flat — A woman said her father-in-law found some carpentry tools on Priest Coulterville Road that had been reported missing.

3:03 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said his cell phone was stolen two weeks ago on the 19200 block of Cherokee Road.

3:35 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said a child threatened to burn down the house and kill the family of another student at a school on the 22700 block of Kewin Mill Road.

4:04 p.m., Jamestown — A man said two men came to his house on the 17100 block of Chicken Ranch Road selling window cleaner, but he thinks they are "casing houses."

4:07 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 22100 block of Crystal Falls Drive said her neighbor threatened her.

6:42 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said he was following a car on Sanguinetti Road that had hit two stop signs.

8:52 p.m., Mi Wuk Village — A man on the 20900 block of Lama Tuemete Road said he had been assaulted by his ex-roommate.

9:47 p.m., Jamestown — Two callers said four or five children were riding their bikes in the restrooms at Rocca Park. Eight minutes later, the callers said there was a fire in the restroom.

11:12 p.m., Sonora area — A man said people were teasing his dog and throwing rocks at him on Golden Dove Lane.

11:44 p.m., Sonora area — A caller said about 10 children were fighting and drinking near a building on Grouse Way.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

5:50 p.m., Mono Vista — Larry Steven Lester, 36, 16500 block of Serene Acres Drive, booked on warrants charging him with carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm, failure to appear and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after an arrest at his home.

No details were available. He was released Thursday after posting $10,000 bail.

FRIDAY

2:15 a.m., Jamestown area — Charles Lewis Brimage, 41, 8000 block of Melones Dam Road, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of possession and transportation of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, no vehicle registration and no proof of insurance after an arrest on Old Melones Dam Road at Shell Road. No details were available. He remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

9:45 p.m., Jamestown — Arson was reported on the 18200 block of Smoke Street. Damage was estimated at $100 to a paper towel dispenser and surrounding area. Jamestown Fire Protection District, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Sonora City Fire Department responded.

12:10 a.m., Sonora — Arson was reported on the 19900 block of Greenley Road. No damage was reported. CDF and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

12:53 a.m., public peace — A bartender at a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street was having problems with a man and asked an officer to help.

1:52 a.m., public peace — A caller said two evicted tenants from a house on the 30 block of West Bradford Avenue were causing problems.

2:12 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller on McCormick Drive said two children were throwing rocks in the area.

1:08 p.m., theft — A woman said her purse was stolen from a shopping cart while the woman was in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

2:53 p.m., traffic violation — A 35-year-old woman was cited and released and her car towed after she was stopped on Sanguinetti Loop for a traffic violation and the officer discovered she was driving with a suspended license.

4:20 p.m., traffic violation — A woman said that as she drove past Sonora High School on North Washington Street a group of seven boys threw something at her car as well as other vehicles.

9:48 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a car had been parked behind modular buildings at Cassina High School for most of the day.

10:40 p.m., found property — A caller brought a radio into the police department after it was left on a bench on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

11:06 a.m., lost property — A purse was found on the 800 block of Morning Star Drive.

2:06 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a woman was "digging through and hiding in the bushes" near the main entrance of a building on the 100 block of Hospital Road.

4:35 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a man was riding a mini-bike up and down Hillcrest Drive.

6:11 p.m., fight — A caller said two groups of men were arguing on South Stewart Street.

8:27 p.m., vandalism — A caller said someone threw an egg at his or her vehicle and broke a window on Green Street.

9:35 p.m., disorderly conduct — A caller said a man was waiting outside a store on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road to beat up another man when he comes out of the store.
