MONDAY

7:40 a.m., Jamestown — An an Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency employee said a planter box had been burned at the food bank on Victoria Way.

7:51 a.m., Tuolumne — A man said a deck and table at Summerville Elementary School on Carter Street were damaged Sunday.

8:26 a.m., Long Barn — A man said his motorhome, parked on the 25800 block of Long Barn-Sugar Pine Road, was broken into.

8:32 a.m., Groveland — A woman on Wells Fargo Drive said a trailerhitch was taken off her car Saturday while it was parked at a neighbor's house.

9:08 a.m., Wards Ferry area — A 1977 Ford F250 fire truck was stolen from the Tuolumne County Transit yard on Old Wards Ferry Road overnight.

9:47 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A man said a person in Nigeria tried to use the man's credit card to make a $5,700 purchase in Europe. A deputy told the man to cancel his card and to check his credit report for other possible fraudulent charges.

11:28 a.m., Jamestown — A Jamestown Elementary School student was bitten by a dog over the weekend. A deputy talked to the parents and Animal Control officers.

1:07 p.m., Crystal Falls area — A woman said toys were taken out of Discovery Preschool on Niagara River Drive and put on the other side of a fence.

1:20 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller on Laramie Lane said a man with a black shirt and baseball cap and carrying a black backpack was walking the neighborhood claiming to be a handyman starting his own business. The caller was suspicious because the man did not give his name or the name of his business.

2:32 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 17000 block of Plateau Road said her tires had been slashed.

3:02 p.m., Big Hill area — A man said gasoline was siphoned from vehicles parked at the Regional Learning Center on Old Oak Ranch Road over the weekend. The man said a fuel line and water hoses were also cut.

3:03 p.m., East Sonora — A man on the 12800 block of Mono Way said a neighbor came over to the man's yard and swung a golf club at him.

3:18 p.m., Twain Harte — A shed behind a house on the 18000 block of Woodwardia Road was broken into and tools, a chain saw and a leaf blower, all valued at $695, were stolen.

3:54 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22000 block of Tamarack Drive said his house was burglarized and tools and fishing equipment, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen.

3:58 p.m., Twain Harte — A Twain Harte Golf Club employee said four teenage boys with an air horn were harassing golfers by blasting the horn every time golfers teed off.

4:15 p.m., Tuolumne — A Me-Wuk tribal security officer said a woman was in distress near the Black Oak Casino office on Tuolumne Road. The officer said the woman was possibly involved in an argument with a man.

5:03 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a woman and two men were drunk and fighting each other on the 18200 block of Main Street. A deputy checked, but did not find the trio.

5:17 p.m., Standard area — A Tuolumne Veterinary Hospital employee said a neighbor threw rocks at the hospital on the 15000 block of Tuolumne Road, denting the building. A deputy spoke with the neighbor, who denied throwing the rocks.

7:44 p.m., Groveland — A woman said she walked into Moore Brothers Scavenger Company on the 10900 block of Merrell Road while it was being burglarized, and the burglars got away.

8 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 18000 block of Marquis Drive said someone was in her garage. She said it is an ongoing problem.

YESTERDAY

12:08 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 23000 block of Erie Court said that twice in the previous 20 minutes, a flashlight was shined into his window.

YESTERDAY

1:08 a.m., Groveland — Estevan Montanez Cervantes, 28, 12400 block of Tannahill, Groveland, booked on suspicion of possessing and transporting a controlled substance and bringing drugs into the county jail after an arrest on Merrell Road at Wards Ferry Road.

According to a sheriff's report, a deputy stopped Cervantes as he walked along the side of the road about 12:30 a.m. yesterday. A dispatcher said there were two warrants for Cervantes' arrest from Merced Municipal Court for drug possession, drunken driving and failure to appear in court. The deputy arrested Cervantes and took him to jail for booking.

At the jail, a deputy found three methamphetamine rocks in Cervantes' left sock. Cervantes said he found the rocks at a construction site and was going to throw them away. He remained held this morning in lieu of $40,000 bail.

Thomas Xauier Kane, 65, 10 block of Club House Road, Brick, N.J., booked at 11:45 p.m. Monday after arrest on South Washington Street at Restano Way, Sonora.

6:29 a.m., burglary — Superior Signs on the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road was broken into overnight.

8:56 a.m., hazardous situation — A big-rig truck bottomed out on Jackson Street at Lower Sunset in front of the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office.

11:10 a.m., vandalism — A gate at the lumber yard for Andy's True Value Hardware and Lumber on the 900 block of Mono Way was damaged.

1:09 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said two men entered a vacant building on the 300 block of South Barretta Street with a beer.

2:03 p.m., public intoxication — A caller said a man in a plaid shirt was drunk in front of a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

2:37 p.m., lost property — A Camacho's Taqueria sign was reported missing from the restaurant, on the 600 block of Stockton Road.

4:40 p.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a accident on Theall Street.

10:15 p.m., burglary — Jewelry and other items were taken from a house on the 100 block of Terrace Avenue.

10:51 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller saw a man trying to wake up a another man asleep in a park on Bradford Avenue at Poplar Street. When the sleeping man wouldn't wake up, the other man stole his bike.

7:21 a.m., Douglas Flat — The Klamath Falls Police Department asked the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department to investigate a car on the 1000 block of Main Street in Douglas Flat. Klamath Falls police said the car was involved in an Oregon road-rage incident.

7:29 a.m., San Andreas — A chain saw was stolen from a locked vehicle at a construction site on Pool Station Road.

6:20 p.m., Angels Camp — Garrett Eugene Bowman, 18, 200 block of South Main Street, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest in front of Rite Aid. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $25,000 bail.

7 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Jessica Courtney West, 20, and Gregory John Wilson, 28, 18000 block of Pinebark Road, Rail Road Flat, booked on suspicion of possessing and selling a controlled substance after arrest at their home. Wilson was also booked on suspicion of possessing and selling a dangerous weapon. Both remained in custody this morning; West in lieu of $35,000 bail, and Wilson in lieu of $50,000 bail.
