Anthony G. Brisco Sr.

May 25, 1931 — Jan. 28, 2004

Anthony G. Brisco Sr. of Sonora died Wednesday at a Sonora hospital. He was 72.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in Sonora for 15 years. He worked as a maintenance man for DeAnza College in San Jose for six years.

He was a member of Brothers of the Third Wheel, a motorcycle club, in Sacramento and San Jose. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950s.

His family said he loved his grandchildren.

Mr. Brisco is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hazel Brisco of Sonora; two daughters, Susan Brisco of Sonora and Rose Brisco of Tuolumne; a son, Tony Brisco of Sonora; three brothers, John and Joe Brisco, both of New York, and James Brisco of Bakersfield; and four grandsons, Anthony Brisco III of Modesto and Michael, Frisco and Robert Brisco all of Tuolumne.

A family service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Brisco home. Friends are invited to visit between 1-5 p.m.

LINDBERG — Wilma Jean Lindberg, 74, of Tuolumne died Friday at a Sonora hospital. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

PORTER — Ernest "Art" Porter, 85, of Twain Harte died Wednesday at a Sonora hospital. Visitation is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. tomorrow at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., in Escalon. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Deegan Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.

WELLINGTON — Norine Wellington, 93, of Sugar Pine died yesterday at her home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
