Sheriff's report

MONDAY

9:22 a.m., Columbia — The owner of St. Charles Saloon on the 22800 block of Italian Bar Road said a man vandalized the bar and assaulted a woman and her father.

9:49 a.m., Jamestown — A man said his camper was burglarized while it was parked on Jamestown Road near Highway 49.

9:53 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man on the 21000 block of Wallim Court said two bags of garbage were thrown into his yard without permission.

10:08 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive said his 1989 John Deere tractor was vandalized when the headlights were broken and a liquid thrown on the tractor causing the paint to peel. The man estimated the damage at $4,000.

10:59 a.m., Jamestown — Tuolumne County Animal Control officers were called out to corral a large pig running loose on Golf Links Road toward Highway 108. An officer checked the area, but did not find the pig.

11:35 a.m.,Tuolumne — A Black Oak Casino security guard found a woman's purse with a weapon inside. The weapon turned out to be a cigarette lighter and the purse was claimed by the woman who lost it.

1:28 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said a 16-year-old girl was driving recklessly on Mi-Wuk Street.

2:05 p.m., Mono Village — A caller at the Alano Club on the 19400 block of Village Drive said a man who said he had been using methamphetamine for several days and had not slept was making threats to harm himself.

2:28 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said a back window at the Tuolumne Memorial Hall was broken but that nothing inside appeared to have been taken.

2:29 p.m., west county — A woman said nine horse-corral panels were stolen from property on Highway 108 near an access road to Tulloch Reservoir.

2:32 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A caller said a person on a motorcycle drove past houses on Muheli Road about 16 times, going 60 mph.

2:44 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man in a beanie, brown jacket and blue jeans was rolling around in field on Jamestown Road near Golf Links Road.

3:18 p.m., Long Barn — A man on the 26500 block of Snow Bowl Road said a hydraulic pump was stolen off a plow attached to a pickup.

3:48 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said paintballs were landing in trees on private property on Toyon Court.

5:10 p.m. Soulsbyville — A man on the 16900 block of Atenco Court said his house was burglarized Saturday morning and a digital camera, cell phone, radio-controlled car and a pocket watch were stolen.

7:34 p.m., Tuolumne area — A caller said a tow truck on its way to pull a stuck 1984 Dodge pickup out of the snow on Cherry Lake Road also got stuck in the snow.

11:38 p.m., Jamestown — A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after a clerk at Chip's Chevron on the 18100 block of Highway 108 said the man was drunk and grabbed the clerk, hit her chin and pinched her arm. Store patrons held the man down until a deputy arrived.

YESTERDAY

1:02 a.m., Tuolumne — A 37-year-old man was arrested on a Stanislaus County warrant charging him with drunken driving after a traffic stop on Tuolumne Road near Carter Street.

TUESDAY

10:17 a.m., Sonora — Doris Jeanette Murphy, 21, 300 block of Fairview Lane, Sonora booked on a warrant charging her with receiving stolen property after she turned herself in at the county jail. No details were available. She was released on her own recognizance yesterday.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Robert William Smith, 41, undisclosed address in Sharon, N.C., booked at 1:10 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 108 and Tuolumne Road.

Sonora police reports

MONDAY

7:17 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller on the 500 block of South Barretta Street said a man on drugs was getting violent.

11:58 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a traffic accident at Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

12:34 a.m., found property — An ATM card at a Bank of America machine was turned over to the police department.

MONDAY

1 a.m., Valley Springs — There was a report of a smoke bomb being thrown out of a vehicle at the intersection of highways 12 and 26.

8:02 a.m., Valley Springs — An ongoing neighborhood dispute on the 7900 block of Cabernet Street resulted in one person making obscene gestures toward another.

1:57 p.m., Copperopolis — Items from a construction site on the 100 block of Hawkridge Road were reported missing.

2:10 p.m., Valley Springs — Items from a construction site on the 5900 block of Ripon Road were reported missing.

2:39 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 6200 block of Hironymous Way said there were juveniles around a neighbor's house while the resident was away.

4:46 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 4200 block of Paolini Drive said someone drove onto her property. When contacted by a deputy, the trespasser said he didn't realize he was on private property because it wasn't fenced.

7 p.m., Arnold — A caller on the 1600 block of Meadowview Road said she would like a man to leave her house but he's refusing to do so.

8 p.m., Valley Springs — Two dogs were fighting on the 300 block of Sequoia Avenue. Animal control was contacted.

10:45 a.m., Angels Camp — A 41-year-old Arnold man was booked on suspicion of a felony assault charge. He was released because the Calaveras County Jail was overcrowded, and will be arraigned at a later date.

11:27 a.m., Angels Camp — A 48-year-old Angels Camp woman was booked on suspicion felony assault. She was released because the Calaveras County Jail was overcrowded, and will be arraigned at a later date.

Felix Segura Balderas, 23, 3000 block of Grandi Circle, Stockton, booked at 4:47 a.m. yesterday after arrest at the intersection of St. Andrews Road and Highway 26 in Valley Springs.

Fires

YESTERDAY

12:12 p.m., Copperopolis — A Jeep was reported on fire on the 4700 block of Jaquima Drive. Copperopolis Fire Protection District responded.

6:20 p.m., Angels Camp — A flue fire was reported on the 600 block of Stanislaus Avenue. Jeanie Johnson of Murphys owns the property. Damage was estimated at $10,000 to the roof and ceilings. No injuries were reported. Angels Camp Fire Department, Altaville-Melones Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District and Murphys Fire Protection District responded.
