SUNDAY

5:39 a.m., East Sonora — An employee at Best Western Sonora Oaks Lodge said tenants in four adjoining rooms were making too much noise.

12:32 p.m., Sonora area — A caller on the 20800 block of Saratoga Road said two men in a dark Ford pickup were parked in his driveway. When a deputy got there, the pickup was gone.

2:44 p.m., Chinese Camp — A man said five post office boxes were pried open at the Chinese Camp Post Office on Red Hills Road.

3:36 p.m., Gibbs Ranch — A man said a neighboring house on the 11000 block of Racetrack Road had a broken waterline. A deputy turned off the water at the main because no one was home.

4:46 p.m., Columbia — A caller said people were at a shooting range on Parrotts Ferry Road, firing where they should not be.

6:42 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 19000 block of Rawhide Road said a suspicious-looking man dressed in black was hanging around.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

3:57 a.m., Willow Springs — Dawn Bernadette Lamarra, 37, undisclosed address on Italian Bar Road, Twain Harte; Nelson Merle Edwards, 44, 23200 block of Tuolumne Road, Twain Harte; and David Edward Davis, 44, 10100 block of Highway 49, Sonora, all booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance for sale and sale of a controlled substance.

According to a sheriff's report, here's what happened: A deputy stopped a car driven by Lamarra for a traffic violation. Edwards and Davis were passengers. Lamarra was wanted on a Santa Clara Country misdemeanor warrant. When the deputy searched the car, he found a black pouch containing 4.91 grams of methamphetamine and a digital scale. Lamarra said the scale was used to weigh gold because she and her family were in the jewelry business.

Lamarra posted $20,000 bail and was released yesterday. Edwards was released Friday after posting $20,000 bail and Davis was released when the District Attorney's office declined to file charges against him.

7:24 a.m., Sonora — Frederick Floyd White, 37, 18800 block of Wards Ferry Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of petty theft with prior convictions, a Tuolumne County warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine and a Washington warrant charging him with burglary, after an arrest at Sonora Express Mart on Pesce Way.

He remained in jail, held without bail this morning.

9:38 a.m., Sonora — Florencio Carballido Mendez, 31, undisclosed address on Tuolumne Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of being in the United States illegally after an arrest at Sonora High School swimming pool. No details were available. He remained in jail this morning, held without bail.

3:50 p.m., Jamestown — Jesse John Shaw, 20, 10600 block of Seventh Street, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, giving false information to a police officer and misdemeanor warrants after arrest at his house. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

9:04 p.m., Sonora — Derrick Lucio Franco, 24, no address given, booked on suspicion of possession of a deadly weapon and the misdemeanor charge of using foul language in public after an arrest on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

According to a Sonora police report, Franco was harassing customers in front of a downtown restaurant. When an officer arrived, he found Franco had two wooden dowels with screws in the end. Franco remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

9:33 a.m., Sonora — Kiel David Aaron, 21, 400 block of North Washington Street, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and bringing a controlled substance into the county jail after an arrest on South Washington Street. No details were available. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

11:04 a.m., Sonora — Troy Richard Revelle, 30, 300 block of Barretta Street, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and receiving stolen property after an arrest at his house. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

1:23 a.m., Jamestown — Robert Molina Ybarra Jr., 35, 18200 block of Ninth Avenue, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on Seventh Street near Ninth Avenue.

According to a sheriff's report, a deputy stopped a car in which Ybarra was a passenger for a traffic violation. During a search, methamphetamine was found under Ybarra's seat. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Alan Ray Brown, 56, 9700 block of Mormon Creek Road, Sonora area, booked at 9:07 p.m. Friday after arrest at Tuolumne General Hospital.

Lorin Francis Smith, 66, 18700 block of Mill Villa Road, Jamestown, booked at 12:25 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 108 west of Wigwam Road, Jamestown area.

Shelly M. Pruett, 36, 100 block of Cedarwood Lane, Bakersfield, booked at 11:22 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Horseshoe Bend Road at Springfield Road, Columbia.

Ashley Roseanne Lowry, 20, 20300 block of Bay Meadows Circle, Sonora, booked at 3 a.m. Sunday after arrest on Ponderosa Road at Stardust Way, Tuolumne.

Colte Douglass Hilmanofski, 18200 block of Highway 49, Plymouth, booked at 10:05 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Soulsbyville Road at Black Oak Road, Tuolumne area.

Brian David Schmidt, 31, 19600 block of Whitto Mine Road, Rancho Poquitos, booked at 10:05 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Soulsbyville Road at Black Oak Road, Standard area.

Fire

FRIDAY

4:45 p.m., Tuolumne — A power pole fire was reported at the corner of Birch Street and Baker Avenue. Tuolumne Fire Protection District responded.

Sonora police reports

SUNDAY

12:32 a.m., threats — A citizen flagged down an officer to say a man threatened to damage a woman's car parked on South Stewart Street.

12:56 a.m., public intoxication — A 23-year-old man was booked on suspicion of public drunkenness on South Stewart Street at Linoberg Street.

2:52 a.m., public peace — Six or seven people were fighting each other on the 200 block of Yaney Avenue. No one wanted to press charges.

6:33 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a man with a black ponytail was smoking marijuana near the Sonora Birth Center on South Forest Road.

7:52 a.m., theft — Several vendors at Mother Lode Fairground said their booths were broken into and items stolen.

11:18 a.m., theft — A caller on the 1000 block of Shaws Flat Road said tools were stolen from an unlocked garage.

11:38 p.m., theft — A caller on the 100 block of West Bradford Avenue said a bicycle was stolen sometime in the last two weeks.

2:17 p.m., found property — A wallet found at a restaurant on Mono Way was turned over to the police department. The owner retrieved the wallet and everything was still inside.

8:05 p.m., vandalism — A caller said someone was smashing windows on a vehicle parked on South Stewart Street.

10:53 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a possibly homeless man was bothering customers at a gas station on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

10:54 a.m., Valley Springs — Two teens called 911 about smoke coming from a house on Pine Street. A deputy reprimanded the teens about calling in false 911 reports.

2:55 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said there was a suspicious-looking canister at San Andreas Elementary School. A deputy determined it was an empty carbon dioxide canister used for BB guns.

YESTERDAY

12:17 a.m., Valley Springs — A woman on the 2700 block of Dale Drive said someone knocked on her front door, then she heard whistling. A deputy was unable to find anything suspicious.

1:53 a.m., Arnold — A caller said paintballs were fired at vehicles on the 4000 block of Highway 4 near Forest Meadows.

8:20 a.m., Rail Road Flat — A 27-year-old Rail Road Flat man booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery and being in the United States illegally after an arrest at his home. No details were available. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

12:43 p.m., Valley Springs — Lisa Michele Woolsey, 44, 2500 block of Heineman Drive, Valley Springs, booked on a warrant for her arrest on suspicion of possessing substances with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine and manufacturing a controlled substance. She was arrested at Lucas Lane at Berkesey Drive. She remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

11 p.m., Jenny Lind — A 29-year-old Jenny Lind man was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after an arrest at his home. No details were available. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

4 p.m., San Andreas area — An attic fire was reported on the 2400 block of Huckleberry Lane. Damage was estimated at $8,000. San Andreas Fire Protection District, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District and Foothill Fire Protection District responded.

SUNDAY

5:20 p.m., Arnold area — Smoke was reported in a two-story house on the 13200 block of Shoshone Drive. Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District responded.
