8:48 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman on the 20500 block of Brook Drive said her Akita-Queensland heeler was stolen from a dog run.

11:52 a.m., Don Pedro area — A man on the 14300 block of Avenida Central said a neighbor's kids are riding dirt bikes in the area causing a disturbance.

12:06 p.m., Groveland — A man on the 19900 block of Pine Mountain Drive said a pellet was fired through an upper window at his house.

12:26 p.m., Sonora area — A vehicle parked on Lime Kiln Road near Campo Seco Road was vandalized.

2:19 p.m., Jamestown — A man said his children found a green bag near a creek behind their house on Sleepy Hollow Road.

2:48 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a silver van with red and orange stripes has been parked behind a house on Woods Way for more than a week.

3:39 p.m., Sonora Hills — A woman said her mother's Social Security number might have been used fraudulently.

4:41 p.m., Pinecrest — A man said two cabins on Sugar Pine Avenue appeared to have been broken into.

4:59 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on the 21000 block of Oman Drive said her neighbor threw a trash can onto the hood of her truck and scratched it.

5:27 p.m., Greenley Road area — A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of battering her husband during an argument on the 19700 block of Greenley Road.

5:32 p.m., Groveland — A woman on the 31100 block of Hardin Flat Road said an "air machine" was damaged.

7:39 p.m., Springfield Road area — A woman on the 9800 block of Highway 49 said she saw a person on her deck about two weeks ago and, within the last six days, she heard a knock on her window.

YESTERDAY

5:07 a.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18100 block of Fifth Avenue said a generator and air compressor were stolen from his work truck parked at his house.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

1:33 p.m., Crystal Falls — Brian Anthony Deschler, 21, 21900 block of Russian River Drive, booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated mayhem after an arrest at his home.

According to a sheriff's report, a 19-year-old man was assaulted Friday night at a house on the 20800 block of Lower Lawlor Drive, Willow Springs, by a man he did not know. The two struggled and the victim was cut with a broken beer bottle on his lip. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he received stitches and treatment for a dislocated shoulder. On Tuesday, the victim picked out Deschler from a photo lineup.

Deputies went to Deschler's house and arrested him on the charges as well as a California Youth Authority parole hold.

Deschler remained held this morning in lieu of $100,000 bail.

7:48 p.m., Columbia — A 32-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after an arrest at her home.

A sheriff's report said a man called 911 after his wife hit him with her fists, kicked him in the groin, pulled a phone out of the wall and left the house with four children.

The woman remained held this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

TUESDAY

8:42 a.m., fraudulent activity — A Cost-U-Less employee said two checks over the weekend were written on closed accounts.

10:25 a.m., fraudulent activity — A Bertelli's employee said the store was given a fraudulent check.

11 a.m., burglary — A Subway employee said the store's back door had been damaged, possibly by someone trying to break in to the restaurant on South Washington Street at Restano Way.

12:37 p.m., traffic violation — A truck-and-trailer rig was stuck on South Washington Street at Elkin Street.

2:36 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller said two young children were playing on Shaws Flat Road.

2:55 p.m., found property — A caller found a wallet at Wal-Mart on Sanguinetti Road.

4:51 p.m., theft — A woman said her purse was stolen when she left it in a shopping cart at a store on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

5:20 p.m., theft — A caller said a man walking north on Washington Street was carrying a flag, possibly stolen from the Veterans Hall.

8:04 a.m., Copperopolis — There was a report of child abduction on the 300 block of Deerfield Circle.

9:17 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said an animal was being treated cruelly on the 8800 block of Macatte Road.

11:31 a.m., San Andreas — A caller on the first block of East Charles Street said a hatchet was found in the driveway next to his or her business.

12:25 p.m., Valley Springs — There was a report of an in-home health worker being abusive toward a patient on the 200 block of East Highway 12.

2:27 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said he lost his wallet at a gas station on the 700 block of Pool Station Road, and now someone is using his credit card.

2:57 p.m., Valley Springs — A bartender calling from the first block of Daphne Street wanted to report that a man bent a woman's thumb back about 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9.

TODAY

12:05 a.m., San Andreas — There was a suspicious vehicle reported at a cemetery behind Calaveras High School. Several people were behind the school.

3:16 a.m., Vallecito — A caller said there was a horse in the middle of Parrotts Ferry Road.
