TUESDAY

9:39 a.m., Standard — A woman on Jenness Road said a couch was left on her property and trash was dumped on the road.

9:46 a.m., Pinecrest — A man on Lakeshore Drive said boats were speeding on Pinecrest Lake near the dam and inlet.

11:17 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman on the 20800 block of Muheli Road said her 9-year-old son's bike was missing. It had not been seen in a week, she said.

11:55 a.m., Sonora — A man on the 17800 block of Lime Kiln Road said someone stole the hard-shell cover off the back off his truck Saturday. Various tools were also taken, he said.

1:32 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18100 block of Highway 108 said two men were fighting in a parking lot.

1:40 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10200 block of Preston Lane said her upstairs neighbor had stomped on the floor so hard that her pictures were falling off the wall.

5:29 p.m., Sonora area — A man on the 13700 block of Mono Way said a person was burning paper and playing with a green lighter at the Junction Shopping Center.

7:42 p.m., Sonora area — A caller on Berg Court said two men were fighting in front of the caller's home.

9:33 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 17600 block of Woods Way said she had been assaulted by a man.

9:46 p.m., Sonora area — A man on the 15400 block of Tuolumne Road reported the theft of a riding lawn mower.

WEDNESDAY

2:41 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on Middle Camp Road said juveniles were swimming in Brentwood Lake and no one should be in the lake at that time of night.

3:45 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 18400 block of Pradera Real said she was afraid because her smoke alarm went off and when she went to look, it fell and wires were coming out of it.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

11:45 a.m., Sonora — Clifford Sheridan King, 43, 200 block of Greenley Road, booked on a Pomona Superior Court warrant charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm after an arrest in the county jail, where he was being held on other matters. He remained in custody this morning without bail.

3:29 p.m., Chinese Camp — Daniel James Murphy, 27, 300 block of Fairview Lane, Sonora, booked on a Tuolumne County warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance for sale, possessing a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, failure to appear and maintaining a place for selling narcotics after his arrest on the 13200 block of Red Hills Road. He remained jailed in lieu of $50,000 this morning.

9:11 p.m., Jamestown — Matthew Lyle Dunlap, 30, 10900 Faun Court, booked on a California Department of Corrections parole hold after his arrest on the 10600 block of Seventh Street. He remained jailed without bail this morning.

10:35 p.m., Sonora — Travis Lee Pfeiffer, 34, 700 block of Orchard Avenue, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale. He was booked on the charge while in custody on other matters, and remained jailed this morning without bail.

Fire

TUESDAY

2:45 a.m., Twain Harte — A small spot fire was reported on the 2300 block of South Fork Road. The fire was caused by arson. No dollar damage was reported. PG&E owns the land. Anyone with information is asked to call Richard Imlach at 532-0821. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department, Twain Harte Community Services District Fire Department and one crew from Baseline Conservation Camp responded.

9:30 p.m., Don Pedro area — A vehicle fire was reported on the 3300 block of Highway 132. Cause was undetermined. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to a 1986 GMC pickup. Ed Mittelbusher of Hayward owns the truck. CDF and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

Sonora police reports

TUESDAY

12:12 a.m., public intoxication — A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 600 block of Woods Creek Drive.

6:41 a.m., disorderly conduct — Police were told a woman refused to leave Sonora Community Hospital after being treated.

7:05 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man on the 200 block of Hospital Road said a man and woman were sitting on a porch smoking a pipe and the odor was drifting into his house.

10:42 a.m., vehicle theft — A woman on the first block of East Columbia Way said her vehicle had been stolen. She said a woman from Modesto had called her and said the vehicle was there.

10:47 a.m., theft — A man said his granddaughter's backpack and school supplies had been stolen a day earlier at Sonora Elementary School.

12:42 p.m., theft — A man on the first block of Summit Avenue said gas had been siphoned out of his vehicle. Some tools had also been stolen, he said.

8:06 p.m., assault — A woman on the 18200 block of Old Wards Ferry said her 17-year-old son was beaten up by skateboarders at the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

9:55 p.m., assault — A caller said a man spit in his face on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

TUESDAY

9:41 a.m., Valley Springs — A man on the 3000 block of Dunn Road said a refrigerator and weed eater were stolen from an unlocked garage.

10:32 a.m., Valley Springs — A woman calling from a business in Valley Springs said $103 had been stolen from her house.

9:47 p.m., San Andreas — A man on the 600 block of Mountain Ranch Road said another man was threatening him.

10:10 p.m., Murphys — Deputies found a door open at the Sierra Hills Market after an alarm went off.

10:17 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 2000 block of Double Springs Road reported people hanging out in a condemned house.

TUESDAY

11:45 a.m., Lodi — Stephanie D. Brown, 23, Fine Street Trailer Park, Lodi, booked on a warrant for burglary after her arrest on Sacramento Street in Lodi. As of this morning, she remained in custody in lieu of $45,000 bail.

Arrested

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

Arnold George Depietro, 45, 3000 block of Highway 26, Valley Springs, booked at 2:27 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 49 south of San Andreas.

Fire

TUESDAY

4:45 p.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle fire that extended to the wildland was reported on the 7300 block of Baldwin Street. Damage was estimated at $12,000 to a 1998 Toyota pickup. Tomas Casilias of the same address owns the truck. Cause of the fire is undetermined. CDF, San Andreas Fire Protection District and Foothill Fire Protection District responded.
