1:19 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 19200 block of Michigan Drive said his car was sprayed with something that was eating away the paint.

1:28 p.m., Groveland — A Groveland Fire Department employee said a woman was at the fire station crying and yelling about a civil issue. The woman left after her husband came to the firehouse.

2:12 p.m., Tuttletown — A man said a boy was ramming cars parked at the Tuttletown boat launch parking lot at New Melones Reservoir. California Highway Patrol officers handled the call.

2:46 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said $220 worth of clothing was stolen from a clothes dryer in his apartment complex.

5:15 p.m., East Sonora — A security officer at The Junction shopping center said a drunken man was sitting on a bench.

6:53 p.m., Quail Hollow — A woman on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle said her neighbor grabbed her throat in a dispute over cigarette butts.

8:35 p.m., Big Oak Flat — Employees at The Claim Jumper Outpost on the 17500 block of Highway 120 said a man demanded to buy cigarettes after the store was closed. When they would not open the door, he showed he had a gun in the waistband of his pants and made threats. The man left, without making a purchase, in a car driven by a woman, and employees called 911.

YESTERDAY

6 p.m., Sonora — Robert Leroy Kurts, 35, 18100 block of Sleepy Hollow Road, Sonora, booked on a state prison parole hold after arrest on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane, Sonora. He remained held this morning without bail.

6 p.m., Sonora — Robert William Reed, 23, 3800 block of Juniper Drive, Vallecito, booked on a Calaveras County warrant charging him with felony battery and misdemeanor charges of false imprisonment and vandalism after an arrest on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane, Sonora. He was held this morning in lieu of $25,000 bail.

10:32 a.m., Jamestown — Rudolph Zane Breitter, 20, 10200 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance and less than an ounce of marijuana, failure to appear for a court date and giving false information to a peace officer. He was arrested on Highway 108 at Main Street and remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Randy Lee Smith, 40, undisclosed address on Oman Drive, Willow Springs, booked at 8:50 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Shell Road, Sonora. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for a previous drunken driving conviction.

Kristina Rae Lowry, 25, 15300 block of Camino del Parque, Phoenix Lake Estates, booked at 12:07 a.m. today after arrest on Highway 108 at Hillsdale Drive, East Sonora.

Alex Jonathon Vanenger, 21, 20 block of Toby Street, Sonora, booked at 1:02 a.m. today after arrest on the 13400 block of Mono Way, Sonora.

THURSDAY

8:15 a.m., animal complaints — A caller found two dogs running loose on Green Street without tags. The dogs were picked up by an animal control officer.

8:16 a.m., fight — A caller said two people were fighting at a house on the 200 block of South Barretta Street.

8:18 a.m., burglary — A man said a cash box and cell phone were taken from C.L. Bryant Union 76 gas station on the 200 block of Hospital Road.

3:04 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said three teenagers were hanging around a parking structure on the 90 block of North Washington Street.

5:57 p.m., warrant arrest — A 46-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant charging her with spousal battery after an arrest on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

5:58 p.m., theft — Two teenage boys were cited and released to their parents after they stole gum from a convenience store on Pesce Way.

8:37 p.m., petty theft — A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of petty theft after he was detained at Mervyn's for shoplifting.

12:03 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A bicycle was reported on the sidewalk in front of a house under construction on Morning Star Drive.

9:14 a.m., property damage — A man on the 60 block of North Stewart Street cut a city-owned metal railing and poured concrete into the gutter.

11:04 a.m., animal complaint — A man on the 200 block of Hospital Road reported noise from a neighbor's peacock and two roosters. The owner of the animals was given a week to get them out of the city limits and said he would comply.

1:12 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone was throwing cherry bombs toward a service station on the 300 block of South Washington Street.

1:58 p.m., unwanted person — A woman creating a disturbance was asked to leave a business on the 300 block of South Washington Street. She had been evicted from two other businesses in the past three hours.

2:31 p.m., property damage — A man on the 300 block of South Stewart Street said his car had been scratched with a key.

4:13 p.m., hazardous situation — Someone was sitting on top of a silver tour bus on South Washington Street.

4:18 p.m., resisting officer — A 15-year-old boy on the 200 block of Greenley Road was arrested and turned over to the county Probation Department after refusing to let welfare workers into the apartment to check on a 3-year-old child.

9:56 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A group of juveniles loitering near a business in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center for nearly an hour were asked to move on.

SATURDAY

5:13 a.m., parking violation — A pickup illegally parked in the parking lot of the Sonora Certified Farmers' Market was towed away.

10:30 a.m., vehicle theft — A man on the 500 block of Stockton Road said someone got into his unlocked vehicle and ran it over an embankment. Police determined it was an attempted vehicle theft.

10:55 a.m., vehicle theft — A dirt bike was reported stolen overnight from the 500 block of South Washington Street.

3:21 p.m., disorderly conduct — A man who had been drinking was harassing customers in front of a business on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

3:42 p.m., harassment — A teenager said two other juveniles were driving and harassing him in the parking lot of the Tuolumne County Library on Greenley Road.

5:08 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A teenager on a small, blue motorcycle without a helmet was reportedly driving recklessly through the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

5:12 p.m., public intoxication — Police responded to a house on the 50 block of Elk Drive, where two young children were unsupervised in a wading pool. A 46-year-old woman inside the house was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

7:23 p.m., found property — Eyeglasses were found in the public restroom next to the Sonora Police Station on South Green Street.

10:23 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on the 300 block of South Stewart Street said there were scratches around the lock on her door, and she thought someone tried to break in.

10:39 p.m., public intoxication — A woman harassing customers on the 100 block of South Washington Street was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

SUNDAY

1:05 a.m., fight — A fist fight was reported on the 100 block of South Green Street.

1:27 a.m., public disturbance — Three or four boys were causing a disturbance in front of a closed business in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

2:02 a.m., public intoxication — A 22-year-old man on Theall Street was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

2:51 a.m., public intoxication — A 23-year-old man on South Stewart Street was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

1:34 p.m., vandalism — A man on the 400 block of South Shepherd Street said his garage door was damaged.

6:52 p.m., vandalism — A man on the 100 block of Roble Drive said BBs had been shot through his window. An officer later determined the damage was probably caused by birds.

9:38 p.m., public fight — A man on the 500 block of Alpine Street said two people were fighting near his house.

2:08 p.m., Valley Springs — Neighbors on the 7800 block of Cabernet were fighting.

10:45 p.m., Angels Camp — A woman said the tires on her car were either slashed or the air was let out while the car was parked at Frogtown.

11:29 p.m., San Andreas — A house on the 1300 block of Calaveritas Road was burglarized.

YESTERDAY

1:01 a.m., Arnold — A man on the 1300 block of Shady Circle said neighbors were being too loud, playing music and bongo drums. When he asked them to quiet down, they became belligerent.

1:06 a.m., Vallecito — A loose horse, who appeared to have been injured, was found by a deputy on Main Street. The deputy was able to corral the horse.

YESTERDAY

1:45 p.m., Valley Springs — Gerson Jimenez-Rosas, 26, undisclosed address on Highway 26, West Point, booked on suspicion of four counts of child molestation, burglary and misdemeanor driving without a license and giving false information to a peace officer after arrest on Double Springs and Toyon roads. No other details were available this morning and Jimenez-Rosas was held in lieu of $450,000 bail.

9:43 p.m., San Andreas — Albert Leyon Whitaker, 56, undisclosed address on Cedar Springs Road, Mountain Ranch, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle and driving with a suspended license after an arrest on the 70 block of Market Street, San Andreas.

According to a sheriff's report, Whitaker was stopped by a deputy for a traffic violation. The deputy found an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine in Whitaker's car, along with a syringe.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $23,000 bail.

9:55 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Steven Ralph Pease, 39, 7000 block of Railroad Flat Road, Rail Road Flat, booked on a warrant charging him with marijuana cultivation, manufacturing a controlled substance and possessing concentrated marijuana. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $125,000 bail.

THURSDAY

4 p.m., Rail Road Flat — An escaped debris fire charred an acre of grass on the Bullard property at 680 Rail Road Flat Road. Two engines from the Calaveras Central Fire Department doused the blaze.

FRIDAY

2:05 p.m., Angels Camp area — Engines from the Altaville-Melones Fire Department put out a vehicle fire on Cosgrave Road. No further details were available.

8:04 p.m. Arnold — Crews from the Ebbetts Pass Fire District doused a flue fire at 2912 Placer Way. No further details were available.

SATURDAY

12:54 p.m., Angels Camp area — CDF and Angels Camp Fire Department engines put out a fire that burned a spot of grass on property owned by Tom Osbourne off Highway 4 near Ordway Ranch Road. The cause has not been determined.

SUNDAY

4:30 p.m., Burson — An escaped debris fire blackened 2 acres of grass at 3402 Burson Road. Foothill Fire District and CDF engines doused the blaze, on property owned by Carlotta Y. Midora.

YESTERDAY

10:52 a.m., Copperopolis — An escaped debris fire blackened a spot of grass at 315 Main St. A single Copperopolis Fire District engine doused the flames, on property owned by Rhoda Stone, in three minutes.
