The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

11:51 a.m., harassment — Someone at a South Washington Street business received harassing calls from a customer. 

1:10 p.m., vandalism — A vehicle was vandalized while parked outside a Sanguinetti Road business.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:04 a.m., Columbia — A woman on Italian Bar Road said her home window was pried open and no entry was made, but she wanted to “let law enforcement know what happened.”

10:44 a.m., Jamestown — A man on Railbed Road said someone who claimed to be with UPS told him they had a $1.5 million check and asked him for his address.

11:53 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone on Strauch Drive found a dead gopher and a note regarding insurance on a neighbor’s porch. 

4:37 p.m., Twain Harte — A man at a bar on Joaquin Gully Road said his car was stolen. Deputies were en-route when he called to say someone had pranked him and moved it down the street. 

4:47 p.m., Sonora — A 12-year-old boy was left at a Sanguinetti Road cafe by his mother after an argument. His mother agreed to find better ways of punishing the child and the child agreed to find better “outlets” for his anger.

5:26 p.m., Columbia — An allegedly drunk woman on Parrotts Ferry and Sawmill Flat roads pinched a man on the neck and bit his “jaw” area after he attempted to hug her. 

WEDNESDAY

2:28 a.m., Sonora area — Someone on Chukar Circle said a woman and six men were swearing, being loud and “out of their minds.”

TUESDAY

10: 02 p.m., Sonora — Jay Warren Whittle, 31, of the 1000 block of Highway 108, Sugar Pine, was booked on suspicion of burglary, receiving known stolen property and misdemeanor resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 19600 block of Serrano Road. 

9:15 p.m., Groveland — David Phillip Vines, 57, of the 19200 block of Garrotte Ridge Road, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, receiving stolen property and drug possession after an arrest on the 12400 block of Tannahill Drive.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

9:22 a.m., Campo Seco — A fence on Campo Seco Road was vandalized. 

1:38 p.m., Copperopolis — A vehicle on Bret Harte Drive was burglarized. 

10:20 p.m., Valley Springs — “Possible” doorbell ditchers were reported on Pine Street. 

TUESDAY

1:30 p.m., San Andreas — Someone at a DMV on Mountain Ranch Road mis-dialed 911 while waiting in line. 

WEDNESDAY

2:09 a.m., Avery — Someone was possibly living a mini-storage shed on Moran Road.

12:00 a.m., Arnold — Bryan Joseph Wilde, 30, of the 900 block of Ponderosa Way, was arrested for suspicion of vandalism and misdemeanor battery, and was cited for drug possession after an arrest at his home.

2:00 a.m., Angels Camp — Karen Maxene Noring, 41, of the 2200 block of Highway 49, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at her home.

7:45 p.m., Angels Camp — Roger Bedell Coale, 59, of the 300 block of D Street, San Rafael, was booked after an arrest on Murphys Grade and Ranch roads.

TUESDAY

7:26 p.m., Murphys — Michael James Machado, 50, of the first block of Cedar Drive, Hathaway Pines, was booked after an arrest on Highway 4 at Avery Hotel Road.
