TUOLUMNE COUNTY 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:36 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone at a South Washington Street grocery store said they saw a man “flailing his arms.” 

1:56 p.m., domestic disputes — Someone on South Shepherd Street said they heard “screeching tires.” 

7:32 p.m., traffic accidents — A vehicle had damage to a side mirror from a hit-and-run accident on South Washington Street. 

7:50 p.m., animal complaints — Officers were unable to catch a black dog at large on Washington Street. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:05 a.m., East Sonora — A mobile home park manager on Mono Way said a tenant told her that another tenant was “going crazy.” 

9:05 a.m., Big Oak Flat — A man at a Wards Ferry Road mobile home park said he was bitten by a neighbor’s chow mix dog. 

11:01 a.m., Long Barn —  Someone on Scenic Drive said her home was burglarized and she was missing jewelry, as well as Canadian and Mexican money. 

11:34 a.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on Mono Vista Road asked if it was illegal to make moonshine. 

5:09 p.m., Jamestown —  Someone on Seventh Street said an office manager had not shown up for work for two days.
