Water supply still critical in Twain Harte

PUBLIC MEETING: Twain Harte Community Services District Board of Directors, 9 a.m. Thursday, THCSD Conference Room, 22933 Twain Harte Drive.

The Twain Harte Community Services District Board of Directors will update residents on their water supply and accept the resignation of a director.

No increased water restrictions are planned, but General Manager Tom Trott will update the public Thursday on the water shortage, which remains critical, he said.

Director Wes Jordan said he is resigning to fulfill a retirement dream that is not possible while serving on the board. He and his wife will tour the United States in a newly-purchased recreational vehicle.

“This is something my wife and I were going to do when I retired — now I’ve been retired for 12 years,” Jordan said.

Now is the time, he said, but he didn’t want to leave the board so often and leave them without quorum — the minimum amount of governing board members that must be present to conduct a meeting.
