One-way traffic control is in effect on Highway 12, west of Highway 26 and Toyon Road, after a school bus collided with a pickup about 8:35 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol in San Andreas.

Sgt. Mike Joslin said Caltrans is en route to aide the CHP with a full highway closure and to recover the school bus from an embankment.

Drivers will be diverted to Double Springs Road, according to the CHP.

The road is expected to reopen at 2:30 p.m.

Sgt. Joslin and the Calaveras School District said that no students were on board. Joslin said that the bus driver suffered minor injuries.

There are reports of diesel fuel leaking on the road but it is not considered a hazardous material scene,
Joslin said.
