TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

1:45 a.m., theft — A man at a Sanguinetti Road business said someone stole his wife’s purse. 

10:38 p.m., disorderly conduct — Someone on South Barretta Street reported that their roommate was causing arguments, and possibly had a knife. Officers arrived on scene and found the roommate asleep.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:40 a.m., Sonora area  — A person said their friend was missing from his home on Corte De Las Ninas. He was found to be out running errands with another friend.

9:48 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Someone said people were taking items out of a neighbor’s house and loading them into a van on Lama Teumete Road. The homeowner and deputies found no signs of forced entry and no items missing. 

10:34 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone said a drug addict hopped a fence at a rehabilitation residence on Cherokee Road and was possibly headed to a casino.

12:39 p.m., Jamestown —  A woman said that the home of a man who is in prison had been burglarized. Deputies found no signs of forced entry and nothing missing from the home on Wigwam Road.

1:28 p.m.,  East Sonora — Someone said there was a suspicious van with the doors open parked behind a business on Mono Way. The van’s owner worked at the business and was letting the interior air-dry after a cleaning. 

2:15 p.m., Sonora area — A man on Paseo De Los Robles reported that his wife signed his name on a credit card. He was advised that no crime had been committed.

5:59 p.m., Sonora area  — A man in a wheelchair was stuck in a ditch while hitchhiking on Mono Way.

6:22 p.m., Columbia — A man asked deputies to check on a woman on Upper Quail Mine Road who had not returned his calls. The woman told deputies that she was choosing not to speak with the man.

7:26 p.m., Twain Harte — A man asked deputies to check on a woman on Ponderosa Drive who had not returned his calls. The woman told deputies she did not want to talk to the man until he takes his medication.

9:23 p.m., East Sonora — A man was warned for the second time to stop trash-bin diving at a business on Mono Way.

9:52 p.m., East Sonora — A woman called 911 and said the inside of her Crystal Falls Drive house was destroyed, but nobody did anything to threaten her. She was advised to clean her house and to stop calling an emergency number when there is no emergency.

TUESDAY

5:09 a.m., Jamestown — Norma Leticia Torrez, 34, transient, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Chicken Ranch Road and Highway 108.

10:09 a.m., Sonora — Jeremy Jason King, 33, of the 2000 block of East Walnut Street, was booked on suspicion of theft, battery on a police officer and attempting to take a gun from a police officer, after an arrest on Jackson Street.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:23 p.m., Avery — A man was arrested for trespassing at a mobile home park on Highway 4.

WEDNESDAY

1:23 a.m., Angels Camp — Someone said that a neighbor on Bret Harte Road was having a hot tub party and shooting guns.

5:45 p.m., Avery — Douglas Phillip Sanders, 52, of the 3900 block of Highway 4, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, after an arrest at his home.

8 p.m., San Andreas — Edward Barry Votaw, 59, of the 100 block of El Centro Drive, Lodi, was booked after an arrest on highways 12 and 49.
