TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:36 a.m., suspicious circumstances. — A suspicious man was hanging out near entrance of Cassina High School. An officer determined the man was there to take an exam. 

10:51 a.m., trespass/unwanted person — An officer cleared homeless camps on Stockton Road. A person at the campsite was told to vacate within a week. 

1:20 p.m., school assists — An officer spoke to a woman at Sonora Elementary School who was habitually late to pick up a student.

3:52 p.m., disorderly conduct  — Two people argued at a business on Stockton Road. One person left the area when officers arrived.

5:02 p.m., disorderly conduct  — Someone heard a white pickup with loud speakers at South Washington Street and Stockton Road. The pickup was last seen heading south on Washington Street.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:38 p.m., Sonora — A woman on Andra Drive said a man sent her husband an email full of “nasty” false accusations about her.

5:54 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village—A woman on Chief Fuller Way said that she was claimed on a tax filing last year without her permission.

6:16 p.m., Sonora — A woman on Tuttletown School Road heard several gunshots, yelling, screaming and a loud truck engine. She thought it was coming from Azevedo Lane.

10:31 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone on Cedar Springs Road said a neighbor was yelling about her burn pile.

THURSDAY

2:49 a.m., Twain Harte — A caller said a woman was running down Black Hawk Drive, yelling and screaming, and there did not appear to be anyone chasing her. 

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

12: 25 a.m., Sonora  — Jeffrey Steven Diaz, 47, of the 300 block of Fairview Lane, booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest behind a Sanguinetti Road business. 

2 a.m., Jamestown— Terry A. Lamb, 20, no permanent residence, was booked on suspicion of possessing marijuana or concentrated marijuana after an arrest at Jamestown and Golf Links roads. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

11:38 a.m., Railroad Flat — A suspicious person was arrested at a business on Railroad Flat road on local warrant.

4:27 p.m., Arnold — a residence was burglarized. 

Felony Bookings

WEDNESDAY

1:00 p.m., Railroad Flat — Jenny Renee McGinnis, of the 900 block of Simpson Road, was booked on suspicion of felony violation of probation. She was also charged with misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and failing to appear, after an arrest her home.
