CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

11:09 a.m., Valley Springs — A possibly intoxicated woman was leaning on a vehicle in a parking lot on Highway 12.

11:34 a.m., Arnold — A man was lying on the ground in front of a business on Highway 4. He was not intoxicated and moved out of the way after a sheriff’s deputy arrived on scene.

12:15 p.m., Avery — Someone broke out a man’s window in a mobile home park on Highway 4.

2:15 p.m., Valley Springs — Wooden pallets were stolen from a business on Highway 12. They were later returned.

6:01 p.m., Murphys — A man with a baby stroller was seen behind a large metal trash bin for more than an hour on Big Trees Road.

7:19 p.m., Rail Road Flat — A woman on Simpson Road said she was punched in the head.

11:10 p.m.., Valley Springs — A woman said a vehicle hit her mailbox on Kirby Street and drove away without stopping.

12:28 p.m., Arnold — Spencer Jay Breinig, 31, of the 1600 block of Blagen Road, was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary after an arrest on the 2100 block of Highway 4.

WEDNESDAY

7:24 a.m., San Andreas — Dino Vukovic, 19, of the 5000 block of Willow Tree Court, Carmichael, was arrested at Highway 49 and Carol Kennedy Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

6:47 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said a tenant at an apartment complex on Greenley Road had a threatening note posted on her door with a razor blade attached to it.

8:04 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Two men and a woman had dinner at a restaurant on Sanguinetti Road and left without paying the bill.

WEDNESDAY

8:12 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said there were suspicious people at her residence on Old Wards Ferry Road who were walking around and looked at vehicles parked on her property.

8:35 a.m., La Grange — Someone attempted to set a portable bathroom on fire at El Prado Park, at Highway 132 and Las Palmas Way, and damaged it.

9:53 a.m., Jamestown — A man on Oakmont Court said an unknown woman called him that morning saying she was in trouble and needed money for bail. She hung up when he asked for her name.

10:03 a.m., East Sonora — Two vehicles pulled into a parking lot on Mono Way and a man got out of one and slashed the tires on the other. 

10:26 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on Lime Kiln Road was the victim of a scam attempt when a man with a foreign accent called her claiming to be from Microsoft and requesting access to her computer or else it would crash. She hung up on him without giving out her information.

10:57 a.m., Sutter Creek — A woman from the Sutter Creek area said someone in Tuolumne County stole her identification.

12:21 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on Barbara Road said a blue Dodge pickup damaged her electric wire fence Sunday evening. 

1:11 p.m., Groveland — Unknown suspects shot out lights and windows at a residence on Elderberry Way.

1:47 p.m., Sonora area — A rental-home owner on Crystal Lake Drive said the former tenants let dogs and cats urinate in the house and tear up the carpet. He was advised that this is a civil issue, not a crime.

3:21 p.m., Chinese Camp — A man reported the theft of three firearms from his mother’s locked vehicle between noon and 2 p.m. at Red Hills and Six Bit Ranch roads. Access was gained by breaking a window. The firearms reported stolen were a Maverick 88 20-gauge shotgun, Blackforge AR15 and Swiss K 31 surplus rifle.

4:41 p.m., Groveland — A woman said fences on her Ferretti Road property were vandalized sometime after Christmas.

4:54 p.m., Jamestown — A Rawhide Road resident reported mail stolen late last month and recently found it in some bushes on his property.

6 p.m., Columbia — A man on Yankee Hill Road who sounded intoxicated told 911 dispatchers that there were two Hells Angels outside of his house and more on the way. A deputy checked around the residence but did not locate any Hells Angels.

2:16 a.m., East Sonora — Kim Diane Storey, 50, of the 19400 block of Rawhide Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at Mono Way and Elsey Court.

10:16 a.m., East Sonora — Edward Lee Jones, 23, of the 16700 block of South Creekside Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Standard Road north of Camage Avenue.

6:04 p.m., Sonora — William Lon Todd, 59, of the 1600 block of Snyder Street, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on West Stockton Road.
