TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:23 a.m., theft — Mail was stolen from a residence on East Pasadena Avenue.

10:33 p.m., public intoxication — A 24-year-old man was arrested near a bar on South Washington Street and booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of public intoxication.

10:48 p.m., public intoxication — A 29-year-old man was arrested on East Lyons Street and booked into county jail on suspicion of public intoxication after allegedly causing a verbal disturbance at a family member’s residence.

11:48 p.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested behind a bar on South Washington Street under suspicion of public intoxication.

WEDNESDAY

12:43 a.m., theft — Several items were stolen from a business on South Washington Street.

3:27 p.m., lost property — Someone reported that a women’s multi-colored vinyl bag was left in front of a business on West Stockton Street. Officers were unable to locate the bag after arriving on the scene.

5:37 p.m., animal complaints — A black-and-white border collie was found at a property on Southgate Drive. The dog was turned over to Tuolumne County Animal Control.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:13 a.m., Twain Harte — Vandals spray painted the snack shop area at Twain Harte Lake.

10:40 a.m., Tuolumne — A theft occurred on Cherokee Road.

11:36 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her vehicle was one of those keyed the previous day at Confidence South Fork and Middle Camp Sugarpine roads.

12:04 p.m., Sonora area — A woman believed checks had been stolen from her mailbox on Bay Meadow Drive. She was advised to stop payment on all the checks and re-contact the Sheriff’s Office if any are fraudulently cashed or used.

2:08 p.m., Tuolumne — A business sign on Chestnut Avenue was vandalized.

5:48 p.m., Groveland — Someone filed a fraud report for unauthorized charges to debit cards at a business on Merrell Road to pay a credit card bill amounting to $20,000.

7:35 p.m., Sonora area — People were setting off cherry bombs and other fireworks around Bear River and Crystal Falls drives.

10:48 p.m., Groveland — A woman said two people keyed her car while she was at a bar on Main Street.

WEDNESDAY

12:02 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said her neighbors were shooting off aerial fireworks at Nashua Road and Johnny Avenue.

12:03 a.m., East Sonora — Aerial fireworks were shot off around Waif Mine Road.

12:04 a.m., Jamestown — Someone on Campo Seco Road said guns and fireworks were being shot off in the area.

12:04 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on Flume Drive said something shook her whole house and she believed something or someone was pounding on her house.

12:04 a.m., Sonora area — Someone on Wards Ferry Road reported seeing aerial fireworks.

12:07 a.m., La Grange — Fireworks were being shot off above the intersection of Highway 132 and Arbolada Drive.

12:15 a.m., Sonora area — A man allegedly threw a can of beans and bowl at a woman on Susan Way, reportedly injuring her leg and neck. She refused medical attention and said the suspect left the area in his truck.

8:50 a.m., Columbia — Juveniles were in a gray compact car shooting a BB gun out the window at Parrotts Ferry Road and Columbia Village Drive.

10:39 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A man died after falling from a ladder on Bear Cub Drive.

10:44 p.m., Sonora area — A man arrived at the emergency room at Sonora Regional Medical Center with injuries he claimed were from an assault. He was not seriously injured and refused to give any further information about the incident.

TUESDAY

12:23 a.m., Groveland — Rogelio Apolonio Quintero, 23, of the 3800 block of Kauai Drive, San Jose, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, after an arrest on the 33100 block of Evergreen Road.

5:57 p.m., Sonora — Jay Alan Nichols, 54, of the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, after an arrest on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

WEDNESDAY

3:38 a.m., Tuolumne — Vaneza Irene Hoover, 22, of the 400 block of A Street, Waterford, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

10:55 p.m., Groveland area — Elena Marie Colbert, 49, no permanent residence, was arrested at Wards Ferry and Deer Flat roads.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:46 a.m., Valley Springs — Sheriff’s dispatchers received several calls regarding vandalism on Jensen Court. A truck’s window was shot out.

10:53 p.m., Arnold — A man on Lake View Court said his girlfriend was extremely drunk and belligerent.

11:02 p.m., Angels Camp — A business on Highway 49 was burglarized.

11:43 p.m., Valley Springs — A car and house on Hautly Lane were egged and covered in toilet paper. Firecrackers were set off inside the car.

WEDNESDAY

12:03 a.m., San Andreas — Someone in a mobile home park on Calaveritas Road heard loud booms and believed it was louder than gunshots.

12:04 a.m., Avery — Someone on Avery Sheep Ranch Road said a neighbor fired off about 10 gunshots at midnight.

12:11 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported hearing an explosion at Hautly Lane and Sparrowk Road.

12:11 a.m., Copperopolis — Someone reported that two men had fired about 24 gunshots in a field near Signal Hill Trail.

1:53 a.m., Burson — Someone on Sturm Way said a neighbor was shooting off large fireworks.

2:12 a.m., Burson — Someone at Carmel Road and Highway 12 heard gunshots in the area and believed the suspects were riding a quad or may be in some other vehicle.

2:23 a.m., Valley Springs — A drunk woman was allegedly causing a disturbance on Stinson View Road. The caller reporting the incident had her car keys.

3:39 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone called to report a man who was running up and down O’Reilly Street.

9:45 a.m., Valley Springs — A man and woman were “in a pushing match” while walking down Laurel Street.

2:44 p.m., Arnold — Sheriff’s dispatchers received a report that a man was running down Meadowview Road with a crossbow and a backpack.

2:50 p.m., Murphys — Unsupervised juveniles were riding quads at Rocky Hill Road and Amber Way.

5:32 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A trailer and two welders were stolen on Highway 26.

8:41 p.m., Rail Road Flat — A caller on Independence Cemetery Road reported a loud explosion but didn’t request sheriff’s deputies to respond.

1:25 p.m., San Andreas — Matthew Dale Ecklund, 31, of the 300 block of Thom Road, Rail Road Flat, was booked on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale, after an arrest on the 100 block of East St. Charles Street.

TUESDAY

2:37 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Dari Dawneen Olson, 56, of the 500 block of Barney Way, West Point, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Jesus Maria and Spring Lake roads.

3 p.m., Valley Springs — Aaron Lloyd Owens Jr., 40, of the 3300 block of Botfuher Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Westhill Road and Anderson Street.

WEDNESDAY

4:44 a.m., Copperopolis — Kenneth Blair Mosley, 52, of the 3600 block of Signal Hill Trail, was booked on suspicion of battery on emergency personnel and negligent discharge of a firearm, after an arrest at his home.

10:10 a.m., Valley Springs — Jolie Marie Neves, 18, of the 100 block of Bullion Hill, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 100 block of Daphne Street.

4:37 p.m., Valley Springs — Xavier Merlos, 47, of the 7300 block of Warren Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at his home.

4:55 p.m., Valley Springs — Adam Ryan Gross, 39, of the 200 block of Daphne Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and carrying a loaded firearm with the intent to commit a felony, after an arrest on Arkansas Ferry Road.

4:55 p.m., Valley Springs — Brian James Ramsey, 31, of the 2500 block of Hogan Court, was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, after an arrest on Arkansas Ferry Road.

7:58 p.m., Angels Camp — James Rick Moore, 45, of the 300 block of South Main Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 200 block of South Main Street.

MONDAY

1:30 p.m., Angels Camp — Linda Fern Novy, 65, of the 1200 block of Ansil Davis Road, Douglas Flat, was arrested on South Main Street.

California Highway Patrol

TUESDAY

11:30 p.m., Copperopolis — Paul A. Garrett, 46, of Copperopolis, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after crashing his 2006 Chevrolet SUV into a large tree at Black Creek Drive west of Feather Drive. Garrett was arrested at the scene and transported Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas for treatment of moderate injuries. CHP said he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
