TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:56 p.m., threats — A transient reportedly threatened residents on North Shepherd Street by telling them he planted a bomb on their property.

10:17 p.m., public peace — Someone called police to report a loud party and the smell of marijuana at a Columbia Way apartment complex.

SATURDAY

12:05 a.m., fight — A fight was reported at a South Washington Street bar. All involved had left when police arrived.

12:25 a.m., theft — A taxi driver reported a customer left the vehicle without paying near East Church and South Barretta streets.

6:18 p.m., weapons — A group of boys on North Arbona Circle was reportedly shooting BB guns toward a house and mailbox.

8:28 p.m., theft – A man reported that a woman stole his wallet at $40.

SUNDAY 

2:18 p.m., A  man appearing to be drunk was walking on West Stockton Road. 

4:27 p.m., A woman harassed a man and his elderly neighbor on North Stewart Street. 

8:08 p.m., A person reported two men dressed in black leaning over a subject on the ground on Greenley Road. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SATURDAY

11:56 a.m., Jamestown — Deputies responded to reports of a fight involving about a dozen people at Ninth Avenue and Seventh Street.

2:18 p.m., Long Barn — A dispute broke out at a Highway 108 mobilehome park after a woman attempted to get her belongings out of her former residence.

3:29 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman called police to report a man went onto her back porch and tried to open the door. The man ran off when her dog barked.

3:40 p.m., Sonora area — Someone reported a truck with three small children left inside while their parents shopped.

4:22 p.m., Phoenix Lake — A man reported wood was stolen from his Paseo De Los Portales property.

5:02 p.m., Columbia — A Horseshoe Bend Road resident called police to report threatening phone calls.

7:18 p.m., Sonora area — A vehicle was reported a small sedan and a truck near Phoenix Lake Road and Hess Avenue. The sedan’s door was wide open with no driver around.

7:27 p.m., Tuolumne — A large burn pile was reported on Gerber Road.

9:59 p.m., Jamestown — A fight was reported at the casino on Chicken Ranch Road.

10:16 p.m., Groveland — A customer at a Highway 120 bar was reportedly assaulting customers.

10:34 p.m., Jamestown — Ten people were reportedly walking through a neighborhood near Fallen Leaf Drive fighting and cursing amongst themselves.

SUNDAY

12:23 a.m., Sonora area  — A man pulled over on Mono Way during a routine patrol stop reportedly thought it was Tuesday and he was somewhere near Los Angeles. The man believed his family members were being held hostage at a local gas station. A deputy contacted a family member who agreed to pick him up.

1:09 a.m., Twain Harte — A fight was reported between a group people in front of a Joaquin Gully Road business.

2:12 a.m., Sonora area — A fight occurred in a Mono Way parking lot reportedly between several firefighters and one man.

6:12 a.m., Jamestown — A person tried to break into a store on the 18000 block of Highway 108. 

10:32 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported threats of bodily harm on the 18300 block of Fifth Avenue. 

12:04 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man downed some trees on the 24500 block of Highway 108. 

2:57 p.m., Sonora — An assault occurred at Tuolumne County Jail. 

2:12 p.m., Tuolumne — Some homeless people were setting up camp on Cavmack Road and Tuolumne Road. 

4:17 p.m., Sonora — A person came into the emergency room to report an assault on Oxbow Lane and Kewin Mill Road. 

5:08 p.m., Jamestown — A young man brought two weed eaters into a woman’s house and she was unsure if they were stolen on the 18600 block of Highway 108. 

5:36 p.m., Groveland — A person reported a possible burglary and forced entry into a house on the 10000 block of Yosemite Springs Road. 

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

1:26 a.m., Jamestown — Shery Lee Jackson, 50, of the 500 block of Kerr Avenue, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after an arrest on Highway 108 at Chicken Ranch Road.

1:29 a.m., Jamestown — Jerry Doyle Gass, 44, of the 800 block of El Terino Road, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and multiple infractions after an arrest on Highway 108 at High School Road.

8:17 p.m., Sonora — William Carlton Castner, 30, of the 13500 block of Red Hills Road, Chinese Camp, was booked on suspicion of threatening a crime with intent to terrorize after an arrest on North Washington Street.

SATURDAY

2:56 p.m., Jamestown — Larry Dewayne Bledsaw, 46, of the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of assault with a firearm on his person and discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner after an arrest on Ninth Avenue.

5:32 p.m., Twain Harte — Donna Marie Bateman, 46, of the 20100 block of Jamestown Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after an arrest on Highway 108.

5:32 p.m., Twain Harte — Evan Jacob Smith, 34, of the 22900 block of Middle Camp Road, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after an arrest on Highway 108.

SUNDAY 

10:10 a.m., Jamestown area —  Danielle Shelia-Marie Courtney, 26, of Mercer, Wash., was booked on suspicion of possessing alcohol and drugs, bringing alcohol and drugs into a prison and a misdemeanor charge of possessing a wireless device, tobacco and a handcuff key after an arrest at Sierra Conservation Center. 

10:49 a.m., Sonora — Thomas Paul IV Reed, 30, of the 4000 block of St. Patrick’s Place in Turlock, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury after an arrest on the 12700 block of Chukar Circle.

2:29 a.m., Sonora area — Cari Denise Brockett, 43, of the 100 block of McCormick Drive, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Shaws Flat Road.

7:54 p.m., Sonora area — Sara Marie Walsh, 34, of the 24200 block of Live Oak Street, Mi-Wuk Village, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108.

SATURDAY

2:04 p.m., Sonora — Deborah Sue Nevarez, 54, of the 21900 block of Fallview Lane, Sonora, was booked after an arrest in a Sanguinetti Road parking lot.

SUNDAY 

2:58 a.m., Sonora — Michelle Leanna Holz, 44, of the 200 block of Sylvan Lane, was booked after an arrest on the first block of Stockton Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:28 a.m., San Andreas — Some type of petroleum odor was reported near the county government center on Mountain Ranch Road.

12:34 p.m., San Andreas — Theft of solar equipment was reported on Saint Andrews Way.

3:27 p.m., Angels Camp — Cows were blocking the road at Murphys Grade Road and French Gulch Road.

6:42 p.m., West Point — A downed tree was blocking Rabbit Foot Road near Highway 26.

9:07 p.m., West Point — A suspected burglary was reported on Higdon Spink Cutoff Road.

10:32 p.m., Valley Springs — A possible fire was reported at South Petersburg Road and South Ranchero Road.

SATURDAY

1:25 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspicious person was laying in the roadway.

1:44 p.m., Arnold — A break-in was reported at a Nola Drive residence.

7:30 p.m., San Andreas — A theft occurred on West St. Charles Street.

7:51 p.m., Arnold — Someone was reportedly throwing water balloons at vehicles on Highway 4.
