TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

12:23 p.m., disorderly conduct — A large man was reportedly yelling and throwing glass on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road. He calmed down when officers arrived.

12:44 p.m., traffic accident — A report was taken for a non-injury traffic accident on Mono Way.

5:29 p.m., harassment — Harassment was reported at the police department on South Green Street. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:10 a.m., Crystal Falls — Youths reported a vehicle speeding by and thought “something wasn’t right” and the driver may have been trying to hit them at Yuba River and American River drives. 

8:59 p.m., Tuolumne area — A man was reportedly beating his pit bull at the intersection of Tuolumne and Wards Ferry roads and the dog had a broken leg. The man left in a gray SUV and was not found.

9:14 a.m., Chinese Camp — Someone reportedly attempt to steal pieces of guard rail at Shawmut Circle and Shawmut Road.

9:49 a.m., East Sonora — A woman received an inappropriate phone call on the 14500 block of Lolly Lane.

11:31 a.m., Sonora area — Fraud was reported on the 19800 block of Via Redonda.

3:35 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — The owner of a vacation home arrived to find that someone had driven over the septic tank and moved lumber onto the property on the 24200 block of Lama Court.

3:36 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said his vehicle was scratched on Monday night on the 18500 block of Cedar Street.

5:34 p.m., Sonora area — A girl reported being called and followed by someone on the 10000 block of Highway 49.

7:34 p.m., Jamestown — Someone reported a man with a beard riding a bicycle in circles and acting strange on Main and Seco streets.

10:21 p.m., Sonora area — A man said someone tried to break into his vehicle on the 20700 block of Lower Hillview Drive. He was sitting inside his house with a gun. Officers found no one or anything damaged or stolen.

THURSDAY

1 a.m., Tuolumne — An older woman died in the parking area of a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North. Nothing seemed suspicious, according to sheriff’s deputies. 

2:16 a.m., Jamestown — Someone banged on a front door, then left before the reporting party answered on the 10300 block of Willow Street. 

7:31 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported a broken water main, with water gushing into the roadway in front of a residence on the 11100 block of Golf Links Road.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

4:30 p.m., Chinese Camp — James Carroll White, 55, of Pittsburg, was booked on suspicion of vandalism after an arrest at the Don Pedro overlook on Highway 120. At 3:36 p.m., someone reported a man driving down the road and smashing into cars on Red HIlls Road. Another caller reported that someone “plowed into her car and punched her in the face.” White was later arrested for felony vandalism. 

10:24 p.m., Twain Harte — Jeremiah Michael Barrows, 20, of the 23400 block of Tanager Drive, was booked on suspicion of vandalism and misdemeanor attempted petty theft after an arrest on the 17900 block of Tanager Drive. At 7:39 p.m., a caller said he caught a man stealing gas out of his vehicle by puncturing a hole in it and draining the gas into a container. The man ran away, but the caller said he left his car keys. Barrows was later arrested for felony vandalism and attempted petty theft.

1:52 a.m., Tuolumne area — Braden Lom, 31, of Modesto, was booked after an arrest at Tuolumne and Aarondale roads.

 CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:05 a.m., Arnold — A bench, outside a business on Dunbar Road, was vandalized with carvings.

1:07 p.m., Burson — Someone reportedly trespassed to fish near Meadow Oaks Drive.

1:55 p.m., San Andreas — A physical altercation was reported at Turner Park on Treat Avenue.

2:29 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone reportedly trespassed and cut trees on Peek Circle.

7:26 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported a suspicious man pounding on the door on Quail Oaks Road.

8:07 p.m., Valley Springs — A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs after an arrest at Highways 12 and 26. 

8:27 p.m., West Point — Someone reported hearing a motorcycle and “some metal banging” in a forbidden area at Spink Road and Higdon Spink Cutoff. 

10:48 p.m., Burson — A man was in the roadway yelling and screaming on Chile Camp Road and Camanche Parkway South.

THURSDAY

6:36 a.m., San Andreas — Forgery was reported at a business on the 400 block of East St. Charles Street. 

7:39 a.m., Copperopolis — Theft was reported at Arrowhead Street and Bow Drive.

9 p.m., Angels Camp — Paula Jean Anders, 59, of Fountain Valley, was booked after an arrest at South Main and Monte Verde streets.
