A Burson woman was arrested late Wednesday night for allegedly shooting a man to death and injuring a woman in an Amos Lane home.

Charity Ford, 56, was booked in the Calaveras County Jail on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and child cruelty, according to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 10:15 p.m., sheriff's deputies and detectives responded to the 5700 block of Amos Lane for a report of a shooting.

They found the dead 52-year-old man and a critically injured 20-year-old woman, both shot.

A young, uninjured child was also found inside the home.

The woman was taken to a Modesto hospital.

UPDATE: The 20-year-old has been identified as Britney McGhee, Ford's granddaughter.

The child was McGhee's 5-month-old son.

The man's name is not being released, but was confirmed as the husband of Ford.

They all live at the home on the 5900 block of Amos Lane.
