TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:04 a.m., assault — A man reportedly assaulted a woman before leaving in a vehicle on Theall Street. The woman denied medical aid and requested nothing further be done.

3:23 a.m., disorderly conduct — A woman said a strange man was in her house on North Washington Street. A man called and said an intoxicated woman just assaulted him while he was in her home as a guest. Officers concluded several people had been drinking together at the home.

6:24 a.m., burglary — A burglary report was taken for incidents on Sunday and Monday at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

6:48 a.m., animal complaint — Residents were advised to get rid of a rooster as soon as possible on Snell Street. 

11:34 a.m., weapons violation — A man placed a dark gray handgun in his waistband, walking south on South Washington Street. Police were unable to find him.

11:59 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman in the back seat of a green Chevrolet Malibu was reportedly signaling to other drivers that she needed assistance at South Washington Street and Highway 108. 

4:46 p.m., warrant arrest — A man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant on the 1000 block of Mono Way. 

7:06 p.m., theft — Clothes and jewelry were reported stolen on Monday between 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on North Washington Street. 

9:20 p.m., disorderly conduct — Someone reported a woman screaming and attempting to climb over a fence at a business on Highway 49. A woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:49 a.m., Columbia — A man reported vandalism to his motorcycle sometime the day before on the 12200 block of Yankee Hill Road.

9:53 a.m. Groveland — A flag was stolen from the Groveland Post Office on Back Street. 

1:12 p.m., Don Pedro area — A person was heard in a backyard and a flashlight and footprints were found on the 1700 block of Merced Falls Road.

2:15 p.m., Sonora — Extra patrol was requested because someone had lit a bon fire near Chukar Circle.

2:15 p.m., Crystal Falls — A vehicle was vandalized on the 16300 block of Hidden Valley Road.

4:48 p.m., Sonora area — Someone reported threatening phone calls on the 17400 block of Campbells Flat Road.

5:18 p.m., Sonora area — A woman was referred to California Highway Patrol for a stolen vehicle report on Mountain Lily Road and Blue Bell Road.

5:35 p.m., Soulsbyville — A window was reportedly damaged by a BB on the 20800 block of Caylor Drive.

7:33 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A drunk man was “flipping out” on family members and had a crowbar on the 24800 block of Highway 108.

8:05 p.m., Columbia — An aggressive dog was at large on the 22400 block of South Airport Road.

8:53 p.m., Twain Harte — A disturbance involved an intoxicated man asking his girlfriend for more money to buy more alcohol on the 18400 block of Marquis Drive.

11:59 p.m., Jamestown — A woman with a backpack was reported hiding in the shadows on the 17900 block of Seco Street. The caller noted recent vehicle burglaries in the area. 

WEDNESDAY

12:16 a.m., Sonora — A brown bear was reported running through the area of Racetrack Road and Leland Drive. 

7:29 a.m., Sonora — A business was burglarized on the 19500 block of Village Drive.

7:45 a.m., Sonora area — Tools were stolen from a garage on the 16500 block of Draper Mine Road.

TUESDAY

8:16 p.m., Sonora — Troy Lee Mattie, 48, of the 9500 block of Highway 49, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury and inflicting corporal injury on a person after an arrest at his home.

10:09 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Jeffrey Lee Pena, 39, of an unknown address, was booked on suspicion of crimes against an elder after an arrest on the 24800 block of Highway 108. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

1:08 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone said “unprofessional looking” people came to the door claiming they were there to make a delivery, but the caller hadn’t ordered anything on Old Emigrant Trail East. 

1:49 p.m., Burson — Fuel was stolen on Wade Lane.

5:46 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone reported a suspicious brown briefcase on the side of the road about 100 feet off the highway on Upper Telegraph Road.

6:07 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone reportedly drove through a fence on Pool Station Road.

11:27 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported a single gunshot near Hogan Dam Road.

TUESDAY

8:14 p.m., Vallecito — Frank Leonard Gault, 62, of the 4100 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of a silencer and misdemeanor exhibiting a firearm and violation of a court order after an arrest at his home.

11:05 p.m., Valley Springs — Rebecca Lee Boriolo, 42, of Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, drug paraphernalia possession and being under the influence of drugs after an arrest at Highway 26 and Hogan Dam Road.
