TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

SATURDAY

5:22 p.m.,property damage — A fence was on fire at Palemone and East Lyons Road.

SUNDAY

1:12 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man went through garbage cans at the U.S. Post Office on South Washington Street. He was gone when police arrived. 

11:28 p.m., domestic dispute — Someone reported a woman screaming in a building on Fairview Lane. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SATURDAY 

12:33 a.m., Crystal Falls — A woman claimed a man was on her porch on Feather River Drive. She said the man ran away when her dogs started barking.

12:49 a.m., Sonora — Two suspicious people were seen with flashlights in a field near the pumps at the Sanguinetti Loop.

10:12 a.m., Moccasin — A vegetation fire temporarily closed Old Priest Grade Road off Highway 120. The fire was reportedly caused by sparks from a vehicle.

12:38 p.m., Sonora — A man on Longeway Road told police he was assaulted by his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend when he tried to take a vehicle he had purchased that was still at her residence.

2:44 p.m., Sonora — A person on a motorcycle was warned for taking pictures with his phone while driving.

4:59 p.m., Long Barn — A possibly drunk man and woman were yelling at each other while walking around Lyons Reservoir.

SUNDAY

1:48 a.m., Sonora area — Two men in a suspicious vehicle were reported in a business parking lot on Highway 108. When an officer responded, the men were apparently looking at a map and trying to find their way to Valley Springs.

1:55 a.m., Jamestown — A fight was reported outside of a bar on Highway 108.

2:06 a.m., Long Barn — A woman was pounding on things and screaming in the area along Highway 108.

10:09 a.m., Jamestown — Sexual assault was reported at Reservoir Road and Fifth Street. 

10:36 a.m., Soulsbyville — Someone reported a woman who is moving out may have turned on the gas and disconnected all the phones before leaving a residence on the 17200 block of Timber Drive. 

11:01 a.m., Twain Harte area — Someone reported trouble with neighbor boys including shooting BB guns at birds and onto the caller’s property and using sticks  in a threatening manner on the 18800 block of Middle Camp Road.

1:20 p.m., Sonora area — A back door was pried open but nothing appeared to be missing at a residence on the 20100 block of Moyle Road. 

1:51 p.m., Sonora area — Someone heard gunshots near Crestwood Court.

2:07 p.m., Soulsbyville — A teenage girl reportedly attacked her 71-year-old grandfather on the 17000 block of Upper Starr King and caused injuries to his arms. The dispute was over homework.

4:14 p.m., Sonora area — Someone reported a residential burglary on the 19500 block of Serrano Road. The caller believed the burglar may have left identifying paperwork. 

5:21 p.m., Sonora — A woman was cited and a vehicle was stored by police on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

7:35 p.m., Groveland — Someone had a large bonfire at Harper and Black roads. The person put out the fire and said he or she was not aware there were still fire restrictions.

10:01 a.m., East Sonora — Someone reported an extremely intoxicated man causing a disturbance with a baby in the room at a business on the 14200 block of Mono Way.

SATURDAY

1:46 a.m., Jamestown — Derek Ray Helfrich, no known address, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and a warrant for failing to appear in court after an arrest on Highway 108 in Jamestown.

10:31 a.m., west county — Patricia Alejo-Nieves, 30, of the 900 block of Emily Street, Turlock, was booked on suspicion of transportation and/or sale of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and false identification to a peace officer, after an arrest at Green Springs Road.

11:30 a.m., Jamestown area — Jason Scott Ryan, 51, of Chukar Circle, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of causing injuries while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after an arrest on Algerine Road and Lime Kiln Road. He was also charged with driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanor.

SUNDAY

11:20 a.m., Sonora — Janay Marie Rivinius, 29, of Oakdale, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, violation of probation and misdemeanor unlawful possession of prescription drugs  after an arrest on the first block of Snell Street. 

5:17 p.m., Sonora — Johnny Ray Mobley, 20, of the 200 block of South Barretta Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, misdemeanor obstructing an officer and two warrants after an arrest on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

2:16 a.m., Long Barn — Jay Edward Regelin, 25, of the 23500 block of Middle Camp Road, was booked after an arrest at Dodge Lane and East Rose Street.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SATURDAY

11:36 a.m., Campo Seco — Several reports were made of a mountain lion attacking goats on Buckboard Lane.

12:08 p.m., San Andreas — Renters were stole power from an apartment complex on Knief Lane.

12:09 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Reckless driving was reported on Highway 49. Multiple kids were hanging out of a vehicle.

12:47 p.m., Copperopolis — A man carrying a green grocery bag reportedly jumped a fence on Pheasant Run Drive and ran across the property. The man told the reporting party that he was running from other people who wanted to beat him up.

6:07 p.m., West Point — A woman told police that a man broke her windshield with his fist on Main Street while she was at Lumberjack Days.

8:50 p.m., Valley Springs — Two or three youths were reportedly shouting obscenities at customers in a Highway 12 restaurant.

SUNDAY

11:31 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported 10 or more gunshots from a high-powered rifle near Treosti Place. 

5:13 p.m., Murphys — A backpack, sleeping bag and medication were reported stolen in a business on the 400 block of Main Street. 

5:30 p.m., Copperopolis — Grand theft was reported on Lakeshore Drive.

FRIDAY

11:15 a.m., Arnold area — Richard James Rogers, 44, of Waterford, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license after an arrest on the 2100 block of Highway 4. 

noon, Railroad Flat — Richard Bruce Taylor, 61, of the 700 block of Ridge Road, was booked on suspicion of violation of post-release community supervision after an arrest at his home. 

SATURDAY

12:19 p.m., West Point — Robert Charles Carll, 39, of the 1000 block of Winton Road, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary and vehicle theft, misdemeanor unlawful possession of prescription drugs and infraction marijuana possession after an arrest on the 500 block of Barney Way. 

12:19 p.m., West Point — Albert Carl Fernandez, 67, of an unknown address in West Point, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property worth $400 or more, cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of an explosive device in a public place, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and possession of a blackjack, sap or similar weapon after an arrest on the 500 block of Barney Way. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing an officer, unlawful possession of prescription medication and possession of a hypodermic needle. 

SUNDAY

11:05 p.m., Angels Camp — Kathryn Rigdon Deck, 56, of the 300 block of South Main Street, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a person after an arrest at her home.
