TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

3:05 a.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after a report of someone yelling and cursing at a bus stop on Greenley Road.

8:39 a.m., vehicle theft — A vehicle was stolen overnight on Sundown Lane.

3:51 p.m., traffic accident — A driver called and said she hit a man walking in the road with her side mirror on South Washington Street.

3:58 p.m., embezzlement — Someone reported embezzlement at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

7:51 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone reported two men pounding on a pay phone to get money out on Restano Way. Officers concluded the machine was inoperative and the men were trying to move it.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

8:27 a.m., Columbia — A woman showed up, took some items, caused a disturbance and said she would punch herself in the face if she didn’t get money from one of the residents on the 22100 block of Becky River Lane.

9:39 a.m., Pinecrest — Two people from Oakland were overdue from their hiking trip in the Crabtree area. They were expected at 9 p.m. Sunday but didn’t return and missed work, the caller said. Other hikers reportedly said their car was gone and the caller had an idea of another hike they may have gone on. 

10:17 a.m., Don Pedro — A woman said she was harassed and was concerned for her children’s well-being on Las Armomitas. 

11:26 a.m., Columbia — Someone reported a child being assaulted by a parent the night before on Covington Road.

1:03 p.m., Sonora — Someone reported a man checking all the doors of vehicles in a parking lot on Longeway Road.

2:19 p.m., Sonora — A fraudulent check was reported on Jamestown Road.

8:23 p.m., Columbia — A man was screaming “Why don’t you love me — kill me — you’ll never feel my pain,” and the caller said he was “running around in the dark and falling in the bushes” on the 24100 block of Italian Bar Road.

9:53 p.m., Columbia — Someone was standing along the road in the shadows with a mask on Parrotts Ferry Road. The person was told not to do that.

9:54 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said she and her boyfriend weren’t getting along and he took the phone off the wall and turned it off on the 21700 block of Cedar Springs Road.

10:10 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone reported mail stolen, including a passport, on the 18500 block of Fir Avenue.

10:16 p.m., Jamestown — Someone was in a disturbance with a man who had been drinking on the 19100 block of Golden Dove Lane. He tried to rub the person’s nose in dog feces, the caller said. 

TUESDAY

7:24 a.m., New Melones area — Someone said a man with a gray pickup truck and a travel trailer dumped “black tank waste” at a turnout on the Tuolumne County side of Stevenot Bridge.

7:50 a.m., Columbia — Someone said a purchase of nearly $3,000 was made on a fraudulent credit card on the 23200 block of Italian Bar Road.

3:16 p.m., Columbia — Chelsea Anne Godinez, 37, of the 12400 block of Covington Mine Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a child after an arrest at her home.

6:21 p.m., Sonora — Jorge Eduardo Huerta, 45, of Atwater, was booked after an arrest on South Washington Street. He was also booked on suspicion of driving without a license. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

4:43 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone was arrested on a warrant after an altercation on California Street. 

5:55 p.m., Wallace — Officers concluded firearms were being target fired in a safe manner near Camanche Parkway South. 

6:50 p.m., Burson — Someone reported a trespasser at Olive Orchard Road and Lake Beth Road.

11:33 p.m., Railroad Flat — Fraud was reported on Ridge Road.

TUESDAY

1:14 a.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for an altercation on Campbell Court. 

7:55 a.m., Copperopolis — A vehicle was reportedly stolen from a garage on Black Creek Drive.

Felony bookings:

MONDAY

4 p.m., Murphys — Robert Victor Carroll, 48, of San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, indecent exposure, failing to register as a sex offender and committing a felony while on bail after an arrest on the 600 block of Amber Way. 

5:01 p.m., Valley Springs — Thomas Allen Marshall, 48, of the 200 block of Cedar Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor contempt after an arrest on the first block of Laurel Street. 

5 p.m., unknown — Aaron Gregory Vance, 24, of the 1000 block of Mockingbird Hill, was booked on suspicion of infringing on someone’s civil rights while causing injury or with the apparent means to cause injury, misdemeanor battery on a person and a warrant for fighting in a public place, after an arrest at a business in Calaveras County.
