TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

10 a.m., trespass/unwanted person — A man who had been told to leave a business on the 300 block of South Washington Street asked passersby to purchase beer for him. Police advised the man of the complaint and told him not to return to the business.

1:23 p.m., theft — A cell phone was stolen from a business on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road on July 10.

1:30 p.m., animal complaint — A dog jumped out of a second story window on South Washington Street, breaking the glass and injuring its paw. The owner said the dog would be taken to a veterinarian.

3:04 p.m., traffic accident — A minor-injury accident was reported on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road.

3:28 p.m., vandalism, property damage — A vehicle was keyed while parked on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

SATURDAY

7:43 a.m., traffic accident — A hit-and-run was reported on North Washington Street.

5:53 p.m., warrant arrest — A 27-year-old woman was arrested for a local misdemeanor warrant on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

7:25 p.m., warrant arrest — A 27-year-old man was arrested for a San Benito County misdemeanor warrant and cited for two Santa Cruz County misdemeanor warrants on the 700 block of Stockton Road.

7:38 p.m., public intoxication — A 21-year-old man was cited on suspicion of public intoxication at Sonora Regional Medical Center.

7:58 p.m., theft — A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and possession of stolen property at a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

9:50 p.m., theft — Cigarettes were stolen from a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

SUNDAY

12:02 a.m., weapons violation — A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a weapon at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.

10:10 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after being seen passed out in front of a business on South Washington Street. 

12:59 p.m., theft — Employees said a man who was seen on tape stealing before just tried to steal again and was chased from a store on West Stockton Street. 

7:32 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone was heard screaming near South Green Street. Officers concluded the person was OK.

10:37 p.m., theft — Someone stole a global positioning unit at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SATURDAY

1:16 a.m., Jamestown — A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after he was reported screaming and punching cars on the 18200 block of Highway 108.

6:49 a.m., Twain Harte — A man stole coffee from a business on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road. Deputies were unable to locate the man.

9:25 a.m., Jamestown — A large tortoise was found on a driveway on the 14700 block of Twist Road. The tortoise was moved onto the grass and the owner said he would retrieve it.

11:54 a.m., Twain Harte — Fishing gear was stolen from a vehicle on the 22400 block of Lilac Lane. 

12:12 p.m., Pinecrest — An awning was sliced off a pop-up tent trailer at Pinecrest School and Dodge Ridge roads.

12:24 p.m., Jamestown — A residence on the 8400 block of Old Melones Dam Road was burglarized while the owner was away for a few months.

12:47 p.m., Twain Harte — A 47-year-old man was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant on the 22900 block of Meadow Drive.

4:31 p.m., Tuolumne — A vehicle was keyed overnight, possibly on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North. 

8:51 p.m., Sonora area — A residence on the 18300 block of Wards Ferry Road was burglarized.

SUNDAY

11:52 a.m., Columbia — A man called because his neighbor is intoxicated and knocking on his door on the 22400 block of South Airport Road. They had an issue recently and he doesn’t want to open the door. 

12:57 p.m., Sonora — A woman said a man just assaulted her by forcing himself into an apartment, pushing her down and slamming her ankle in the door. He came to get belongings from the apartment on the 20200 block of Partridge Way and she refused to give them to him.

1:16 p.m., Tuolumne — A .357 chrome Sturm Ruger KGP141 handgun was reported stolen, along with $20, from a camp site at Cherry Lake.

2:28 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said her adult daughter is coming down off meth and is “going crazy” threatening to break all the windows in the mother’s car on the 20500 block of Old Buchanan Road.

2:41 p.m., Groveland — A man was seen screaming at a woman in Mary Laveroni Park and then confronted a man who told him to stop yelling. 

2:47 p.m., Jamestown — Assault was reported on Eighth Street and Seventh Avenue. 

4:02 p.m., Groveland — A father said several kids stole his child’s iPod on the 12400 block of Cassaretto Court. He got the iPod back but wanted to file the report due to other thefts in the area.

6:44 p.m., Jamestown — A woman was arrested for being drunk in public after knocking on numerous doors and screaming at people on Woods Way at Cemetery Lane. 

7:38 p.m., East Sonora — Someone reported a vehicle vandalized on Friday on Hess Avenue and Mono Way. 

9:38 p.m., Sonora — A man told others on the 20100 block of Rough and Ready Trail he didn’t want to go home because they were afraid of being harmed by his son. 

9:38 p.m., Columbia — A man said his girlfriend hit him in the face on the 12400 block of Big Hill Road.

11:10 p.m., Sonora — Someone reported being threatened at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. 

11:46 p.m., Sonora — Someone said three vehicles were “spinning out and doing doughnuts” behind buildings on the 19400 block of Hess Avenue.

12:22 a.m., Sonora area — Sherrene Michelle Barnard, 29, of the 100 block of Oak Rim Court, San Jose, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and selling or transporting marijuana after an arrest at South Washington and Linoberg streets.

5:35 p.m., Sonora area — Christopher Tharin Wilkinson, 49, of the 17500 block of Scenic Heights Court, was booked after an arrest on Longeway Road at Striker Court. 

10:27 p.m., Twain Harte — Jordan Christopher Brendlen, 24, of the 24200 block of Manny Marshall Drive, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on Fuller Road at Little Fuller Road.

SATURDAY

2:23 a.m., Sonora area — Jeramiah Jacob Grover, 19, of the 19200 block of Canyon Drive, Tuolumne, was booked after an arrest at Stewart and Church streets.

9:55 a.m., Jamestown  — Stephanie Ann Lynde, 57, of the 200 block of Roque Morales Drive, Mill Valley, was booked after an arrest on Rolling Hills Boulevard at Highway 108.

1:43 p.m., Arnold — A cabin on Summit View Road was burglarized and spray painted.

2:25 p.m., Murphys — A shed on the 200 block of Tom Bell Drive was burglarized.

3:49 p.m., Paloma — A travel trailer was burglarized on Goodell Road.

11:42 p.m., Burson — A burglary was reported on Highway 12.

2:11 a.m., Jenny Lind — Someone reported a suspicious vehicle on Amiel Way. 

2:22 a.m., Copperopolis — Someone said people are at a business and it is closed on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

9:33 a.m., Arnold — Someone reported copper piping stolen on Avery Drive.

10:42 a.m., San Andreas — Jewelry was reported stolen from a vehicle on West Saint Charles Street.

1:13 p.m., Hathaway Pines — Someone heard gunshots near Candy Rock Road.

2:32 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported harassment on Highway 26. 

3:44 p.m., Vallecito — Someone threatened physical confrontation on Parrotts Ferry Road.

7:03 p.m., Burson — There was a fight on Wade Lane.

9:24 p.m., San Andreas — A woman reported on Mountain Ranch Road she was assaulted.

11:37 a.m., West Point — A break-in was reported at a warehouse on Skull Flat Road.

2:39 p.m., Valley Springs — A 12-foot fishing pole was reported stolen on Coyote Point. 

4:33 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman was arrested for being under the influence of drugs on Heney Lane.

6:21 p.m., Valley Springs — A disturbance was reported on Daphne Street.

7:18 p.m., Mountain Ranch — An altercation between family members occurred on Quail Run. 

11:34 p.m., Arnold — Several callers heard gunshots between Fairway and Black Oak drives.

3:12 a.m., Angels Camp — Gamaliel Martinez Pena, 34, of the 200 block of South Main Street, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse after an arrest at his home.

1:18 p.m., Arnold — Jason Bernard Sparpana, 26, of the 1800 block of Highway 4, was booked on suspicion of exhibiting a firearm with intent to resist arrest and misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer after an arrest at his home.
