The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:32 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone said a person they know walked into a friend’s house on the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive and stole a dog. 

8:53 a.m., Tuolumne — People are setting off fireworks on the 20100 block of Old Buchanan Mine Road. They are also naked and smoking dope, said the caller.

9:41 a.m., Long Barn — A gray and black, 24-speed Mongoose i-beam mountain bike was stolen from the side of a house on the 25100 block of Highway 108.

10:16 a.m., Twain Harte — A man was on a walk and found a motorized scooter by a creek near Tanager Drive and Middle Camp Road. Someone says teenagers were riding it the night before. The rightful owner was found and it will be returned.

10:38 a.m., Sonora area — Someone says an electronic tablet, prescription medication and checks were stolen several months ago from the 22500 block of Colorado River Drive South.

10:50 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman wants a deputy to escort her to a trespass on the 23000 block of Twain Harte Drive.

11:21 a.m., Sonora — A woman reported stolen a $60 tent, $100 sleeping bag, $90 pair of shoes, black leather phone book, bible, dog leash, clothing and pillows last week. She had been camping near Mono Way and Elsey Court and left the things there. 

11:36 a.m., Groveland — Someone said their home was broken into and money was taken from a residence on the 20700 block of Rising Hill Circle.

1:17 p.m., Jamestown area — A man in his 30s with long blonde or red hair, no shirt and tan shorts was seen walking in the middle of Highway 49 at Rawhide Road.

1:28 p.m., Jamestown area — A man said his Martin acoustic guitar valued at $1,100 was stolen from the side of the road while he was at his girlfriend’s house at Highway 49 and Rawhide Road.

2:11 p.m., Sonora — An officer caught a woman who was about to urinate publicly on the 14800 block of Mono Way. She was warned.

2:27 p.m., Crystal Falls — A woman says she was told by her water company that her neighbors had been stealing water from her on the 21500 block of Crystal Falls Drive.

2:45 p.m., Sonora — Someone says a checkbook, cash and two trombones were stolen from a residence on the 22300 block of Geraldine Circle.

3:41 p.m., Sonora — A woman was told by a house painter that her underage daughter was under the influence at the house destroying things on the 18400 block of Wards Ferry Road.

3:57 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone said their dog was poisoned June 27 on the 28500 block of Italian Bar Road and the veterinarian said it looked like strychnine. 

4:16 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 21600 block of Paseo De Los Portales says someone has been using her phone number for online advertisements.

4:24 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone called in concern for a dog left in a car when the owners said it “wasn’t a big deal,” on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive. Animal Control was called.

4:43 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 18600 block of Laurel Avenue said her    debit card was charged twice fraudulently. 

5:01 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man said a cat died on his property on the 20500 block of Tracy Court and he thought it was diseased based on how it was acting before death. 

6:19 p.m., Don Pedro — Someone jumped off a bridge on Lake Don Pedro and was cited for it.

6:32 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said his or her debit card was fraudulently charged for a $1,700 purchase.

7:22 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man said his daughter is on the porch on the 17200 block of Timber Lane, on various drugs and refusing to leave.

7:52 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone found a Jeep parked askew with doors open and the keys in the ignition on Forest Service roads 3N01 and 1N04. No one was around.

8:43 p.m. Sonora area — A man said he was assaulted by his neighbor on the 22700 block of Oxbow Lane North.

9:25 p.m., Sonora — Someone shot a hole in a window of a business on the 14700 block of Mono Way.

10:22 p.m., Sonora — A woman said a man refused to leave after staying at her house while she was away on the 21700 block of Wasatch Mountain Drive. He was arrested on a warrant.

10:50 p.m., Sonora — A man was seen carrying a child, about 1 year old, through the brush behind Sylva Lane and Greenley Road. He was about 20 with short hair and a gray shirt. The baby had a diaper only.

11:33 p.m., Long Barn — A citation was given for a party that lasted “a couple of days” according to the caller on the 29300 block of Modoc Drive.

11:39 p.m., Sonora — A man said people were shining flashlights and throwing rocks at his house on the 16600 block of Madrone Circle.

SATURDAY

3:03 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman in the emergency room reported an assault. She said several people stayed at her house at Highway 108 and Confidence Road after drinking and one of them was acting odd, talking about aliens and acting paranoid. She said when she tried to wake him later, he punched her twice in the face, and she punched him back, hurting her hand. 

3:22 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman said the following: She lost her phone in a cab on the 18900 block of Madrone Street. When she called to ask about it, the man said they didn’t keep track of their fares. She said that wasn’t true and he called her a derogatory name, said that he was a devil and was coming to her house to kill her. 

4:27 a.m., Crystal Falls — A man believes he is being harassed by the new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend on the 21800 block of Fallview Drive. 

9:35 a.m., Sonora area — Someone dumped trash near the 14900 block of Camage Avenue.

1:34 p.m.,  Tuolumne — A woman said her daughter stole a $400 violin from the 18700 block of Providence Mine Road and was trying to sell it online. The daughter returned the violin to officers and was given a trespass warning.

4:18 p.m., Groveland — A man and his son fought on the 20400 block of Old Highway 120.

4:21 p.m., Soulsbyville — Someone on the 20800 block of Willow Springs Drive West said his or her identity was stolen to open a credit card used in Pleasanton. 

6:36 p.m., Sonora area — Two stray dogs killed chickens and chased goats on the 21800 block of Phoenix Lake Road.

8:27 p.m., Jamestown area — A woman was arrested for fighting a man after he was seen throwing her off a boat at a dock near the 11400 block of Jacksonville Road.

9:23 p.m., Sonora — A man said he was assaulted on the 19900 block of El Ray Lane. The other man involved said there was no assault. 

10:47 p.m., Columbia — A man said he has seen up to 30 people on his property, but they hide when he comes out on the 22700 block of Bald Mountain Road North. 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:15 a.m., vandalism — Someone reported vandalism to the side of a building on West Bradford Avenue. 

3:53 p.m., theft — A woman said $380 in cash was taken from her purse at an unknown location.

4:54 p.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested for public intoxication on Sanguinetti Road.

7 p.m., animal complaints — Someone called in concern for a dog in a car on Mono Way. The car was gone when police arrived.

All hours — A few calls came in about fireworks being set off, but never witnessed by police.

SATURDAY

2:03 a.m., fight — Someone called in a fight involving about seven people at South Washington and Stockton streets.

12:36 p.m., domestic violence — Someone said a man put his hands on a woman in an argument. Police concluded it was verbal only and the man was cited for a vehicle violation. 

12:48 p.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested for public intoxication on West Stockton Street.

1:57 p.m., disturbance — Police responded to an argument on Southgate Drive.

3 p.m., disturbance — Police warned a man and woman for causing a disturbance in a business on South Washington Street. 

5:48 p.m., disorderly conduct — Police helped settle an ongoing harassment case on Greenley Road.

10:38 p.m., domestic violence — A man was arrested for spousal abuse on South Barretta Street. 

SUNDAY

1:38 a.m., disturbance — Police helped settle a disturbance at a business on South Washington Street. 

9:19 a.m., animal complaints — Someone called in concern for a dog in a car. It was gone when police arrived.

9:03 p.m., harassment — A woman said there is an ongoing harassment issue with neighbors on Greenley Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

3:54 a.m., Arnold — Someone heard banging on the doors at a storage facility on Fir Street and believes people may be living in a storage unit.

7:38 a.m., Copperopolis — A woman found her television was turned around and unplugged on Mitchell Lake Court.

8:53 a.m., Arnold — Someone said a neighbor was driving recklessly screaming obscenities in search for a missing dog on Venado Drive.

9:40 a.m., San Andreas — A white van was loading supplies from a business on Highway 49, but the business is closed. 

10:24 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone attempted to steal from a store on Highway 26. 

11:23 a.m., West Point — Someone’s home was broken into on Main Street, but nothing was taken.

1:50 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Vandalism was reported on Sheep Ranch Road.

7:20 p.m., Murphys — Someone was accused of shoplifting on Highway 4. 

8 p.m., San Andreas — A caller saw two women fighting on West Saint Charles Street. 

8:07 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone said gunfire was going over his house on Choctaw Road.

9:36 p.m., Copperopolis — Deputies arrested someone for public intoxication on Feather Drive.

9:49 pm.., Valley Springs — Several people in black were seen getting out of a vehicle and going through someone’s shed on Treosti Place.

10:14 p.m., Arnold — A windshield was broken in an altercation between two men that may have had weapons at a business on Highway 4. 

SATURDAY

1:28 a.m., Arnold — Someone said a flashlight was seen on property on Ponderosa Way. 

3:23 a.m., San Andreas — Someone said youths are walking by and throwing and breaking things on Mountain Ranch Road.

9:48 a.m., Arnold — A man was seen ducking and hiding his face from a passerby at Fairway and Silver drives.

10:03 a.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone allegedly threw eggs and used cat litter onto the caller’s sliding glass door on Sheep Ranch Road.

10:04 a.m., Arnold — Someone was taking pictures of children at Highway 4 and Blagen Road.

11:05 a.m., West Point — Someone broke into a shed on Skull Flat Road.

4:08 p.m., Wallace — Someone on South Wallace Lake Drive said they are receiving criminal threats online. 

8:15 p.m., Copperopolis — A woman said she found an unknown man on her property and he left on foot on Conestoga Trail. 

9:06 p.m., Avery — Someone reported unauthorized use of an account on Avery Sheep Ranch Road.

9:57 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone saw people with flashlights on a property on Ross Drive.

11:41 p.m., Copperopolis — A secondhand report came in of possible squatters in an area where a fire was lit in a fire pit on Uncle Billy Court.

 

SUNDAY

2:45 a.m., Copperopolis — A man lying in a field on Copper Cove Drive was arrested for public intoxication.

4:23 a.m., Wallace — Someone said they heard either a screaming woman or a mountain lion at Highway 12 and Southworth Road.

8:25 a.m., Arnold — Someone reported their wife’s phone stolen on July 5 on Lakemont Drive.

12:43 p.m., San Andreas — A man said two motorcyclists were racing up and down Main Street and when he confronted them, they threatened him.

3:43 p.m., West Point — People were seen taking fixtures from vacant houses on Pine Cone Avenue.

9:11 p.m., Arnold — Alcohol was stolen from a business on Highway 4.
