Grateful for bridge fix

To the Editor:

We want to thank the Tuolumne County road department for fixing (painting) the bridge over Sullivan Creek on Alder Lane and getting rid of the graffiti.

I talked to a Tuolumne County employee, about the graffiti on the bridge and he said, “Let me see what I can do.”

Well, thank you Tuolumne County road department.

The bridge looks great!

Kellogg’s loss will hurt students

To the Editor:

Amazing! After 23 years of outstanding service, Mr. Stan Kellogg has lost his ability to not only teach ag, but to prepare the students for life after school. At times I believe the board of trustees has had similar problems. Why else would they advertise for a replacement ag teacher, see “Letters to the Editor” in June 13 issue. The message is clear. Voice an opinion or disagree with the board.

Students beware! You no longer are the number one priority. Petty infighting takes precedent over learning. Egos rule over common sense. Mr. Stan Kellogg goes way beyond what is required for an ag teacher, preparing, tutoring and making himself available 24/7 to students as needed. How many can honestly say that? This man deserves our support, not a slap in the face and a demotion.
