TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

1:35 a.m., disorderly conduct — A man was arrested for using offensive words to provoke immediate violence on the 800 block of Mono Way. 

6:23 a.m., theft — An electronic tablet was reported stolen on the 300 block of South Washington Street. It was later found in the parking lot.

8:24 a.m., parking citation — A citation was issued for parking without a permit in a permit-only parking space on West Bradford Avenue and North Norlin Street.

9:21 a.m., domestic violence — A cell phone call came in with what sounded like a woman being assaulted at Columbia Way and North Stewart Street. Police concluded it was only verbal.

10:45 a.m., theft — A check was either stolen or lost on Greenley Road.

11:06 a.m., suspicious circumstance — A man believes his wife was followed home Friday by a man in a red pickup truck from Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive.

1:34 p.m., theft — Medication was either stolen or lost on South Stewart Street.

2:11 p.m., animal complaints — Someone thought a dog was in distress in a vehicle with its windows rolled up on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. The vehicle was gone when police arrived. 

7:28 p.m., fraud — A woman on Saratoga Road had a credit card opened in her name.

10:43 p.m., traffic violation — A road rage incident occurred on Ponderosa Drive.

11:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman made sexual gestures toward someone and punched a car on South Washington Street. She did not cause the car damage or meet criteria to be arrested.

11:41 p.m., disturbing the peace — A group of people was disturbing the peace and possible intoxicated on Greenley Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

8:16 a.m., Sonora — Someone was receiving threatening phone messages on Pine Road.

9:39 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported they just repossessed a vehicle and there was a body inside. They were parked on the 17100 block of Chicken Ranch Road. There was no followup information.

9:40 a.m., Sonora — Someone attempted arson in the park bathrooms on Greenley Road.

9:53 a.m., Jamestown — A pallet of battery cores were stolen sometime over the weekend from a business on the 17800 block of Woods Way. 

11:28 a.m., Jamestown — Someone was seen crawling through a window at a house on the 10600 block of Jim Brady Road. Deputies concluded it was the previous tenant removing her last few items.

12:43 p.m., Sonora area — Someone was using a woman’s driveway to access a restricted lake on the 20600 block of Lori Lane.

1:08 p.m., Jamestown — Four pieces of jewelry went missing on the 8500 block of French Flat Road with no sign of forced entry. 

1:34 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone threw a rock through a living room window on the 18500 block of Willow Avenue.

2:32 p.m., Sonora — A couple has been receiving calls from a bank after issuing a cease and desist order for calling. In the latest calls, someone just breathes when they answer. There has been an ongoing mortgage dispute being settled that the couple is trying to resolve through the mail. One of them is recovering from surgery and is having their rest disturbed by the calls.

2:33 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone requested a welfare check on a woman recently kicked out of a homeless shelter for drinking who has three young children on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

3:19 p.m., Jamestown — A woman had her hair pulled and her back hurt Monday by an elderly man while driving him on Algerine Road to an appointment.

3:34 p.m., Sonora — A mountain bike, weed trimmer, tennis shoes, VCR, television and heater were taken from a room on the 16600 block of Allison Way. 

4:52 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Someone keeps parking their vehicle in a woman’s vacation cabin driveway on the 24200 block of Paipu Road.

5:11 p.m., Sonora area — Someone keeps parking a semi truck on a woman’s property at Leland Drive and Racetrack Road. She has told him not to park there several times.

6:40 p.m., Sonora area — People have been heard near a water tower at night at Villa Drive and Gibbs Drive.

6:53 p.m., Sonora — Four tractor tires were dumped at a business on 11900 block of Highway 49.

7:42 p.m., Sonora — A woman was having a nervous breakdown throwing things around, yelling and screaming in a residence on the 16600 block of Allison Way.

8:02 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said they believe a vehicle at Highway 108 and Mountain Pass Ranch Road is carrying three barrels of chemicals to go dump somewhere.

8:36 p.m., Don Pedro — Someone was assaulted at 4:30 p.m. the day before around the lake.

9:38 p.m., Jamestown — A man just stole “something square” from a business on the 18100 block of Highway 108. 

10:28 p.m., Pinecrest — A man in all black was in the shadows watching people go by Dodge Ridge Road.

11:30 p.m., Jamestown — A man went into the emergency room with wounds on his face and head from an assault on the 14400 block of highway 108.

TUESDAY

12:39 a.m., Jamestown — A woman told someone on the 18100 block of Highway 108 that her kids were drowned in a bath tub. Officers concluded this was an unfounded claim.

TUESDAY

7:13 a.m., Twain Harte — Ashley Michelle Klein, 26, of the 18400 block of Muir Avenue, was booked on suspicion of burglary and misdemeanor petty theft after an arrest on the 18400 block of Black Oak Drive.

5:08 p.m., Sonora — Janice Marie Barton, 41, of the 19500 block of Mi-Wu Street, Tuolumne, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, bringing drugs into a prison or jail and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia after an arrest at South Stewart Street.

9:42 p.m., Twain Harte — Sean Donovan Waterman, 44, of the 24100 block of Pine Lake Drive, was booked after an arrest at his home.

11:40 p.m., Sonora — Israel Renteria Jr., 26, of the 16000 block of Reservoir Road, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on the 200 block of Greenley Road.
