TUOLUMNE COUNTY

Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

4:02 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A door was found open to a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9:27 a.m., domestic violence — Someone overheard an argument and mention of bleeding and needing to go to the hospital on Oak Street. Police concluded it was an argument, not a fight.

10:33 a.m., suspicious circumstances — The door to a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street was found open along with the lights off and the cash register open with money in it.

12:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man appeared either intoxicated or sleepy in a vehicle on Sanguinetti Road. Police confirmed he was sleepy and that family was coming to pick him up.

3:55 p.m., fraud — Bad checks were used at a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

5:08 p.m., animal complaints — People were concerned for dogs in a car on North Washington Street. Police concluded they were OK.

8:31 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman stepped into traffic and appeared under the influence of something on South Washington Street.

9:25 p.m., theft — A man with shoulder-length dark hair took a basketful of merchandise from a business on the 800 block of Mono Way.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

7:59 a.m., Tuolumne — Abuse was reported on 18700 block of Buchanan Road.

8:23 a.m. Sonora — Windows were smashed and tires were flattened on a vehicle on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane overnight.

8:57 a.m., Groveland — An iPhone 4 was stolen Friday night on the 18700 block of Main Street.

9:51 a.m., Long Barn — A 5,000-watt generator was stolen on the 25100 block of Highway 108.

10:48 a.m., Jamestown — A man threatened a woman on the 8400 block of Old Melones Dam Road.

11:34 a.m., Jamestown — A woman was being harassed and called names by her neighbors on the 18700 block of Highway 108. 

12:36 p.m., Columbia — Coil was stolen from a vehicle on the 22400 block of South Airport Road.

1:21 p.m., Sonora — Someone entered a woman’s house on the 14200 block of Kelly Loop and left a guitar and duffel bag. She believes it was her grandson. 

1:46 p.m., Sonora — A woman on the 18300 block of Toyon Way is concerned she was given a stolen computer to work on.

1:50 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Miscellaneous items were taken after someone went through all three vehicles on a property on 20900 block of Lama Road Teumete. 

1:53 p.m., Sonora area — A woman was threatened on the 19300 block of Susan Way. 

2:09 p.m., Jamestown — A man became verbally abusive in a business on the 9900 block of Victoria Plaza. 

2:27 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Someone sliced the plastic windows on a man’s Jeep on the 20900 block of Lama Road Teumete.

4:14 p.m., Twain Harte — Two teenage boys were caught breaking the lock on an outdoor container to get cigarette butts on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive. 

4:17 p.m., East Sonora — Someone broke into a shed and stole a weed trimmer on the 14800 block of Peaceful Valley Road.

7:27 p.m., Columbia — Someone on Italian Bar Road said he or she was molested two or three years ago.

8:24 p.m., Sonora — A woman reported on the 12900 block of Fire Avenue two fraudulent checks were written in her name.

8:53 p.m., Twain Harte — A homeless man was setting up camp on someone’s property on the 22800 block of South Fork Road.

9:47 p.m., Strawberry — Someone tampered with two generators and caused the power to go out at Highway 108 and Clarks Fork Road.

11:57 p.m., Sonora — After the mother of children on the 20300 block of Crow Court left, a tall thin man with short gray hair knocked on the door and then ran away. The mother was concerned it is someone she has been avoiding who recently got out of prison.

TUESDAY

2:30 a.m., Sonora — Jerry Frank Cress, 34, of the 22300 block of Conklin Trail, was booked under suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after an arrest on the 100 block of Yaney Avenue.

9:25 p.m., Sonora — Garland Randell Feathers Sr., 69, a transient of the Escalon area, was booked on suspicion of spousal abuse, first degree burglary, threatening death or great bodily injury and assault with a deadly weapon after an arrest at Sonora Police Department.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

10:53 a.m., Valley Springs — A disturbance occurred on Laurel Lane.

11 a.m., Burson — Someone became irate and yelled at a neighbor on Highway 12.

1:14 p.m., Glencoe — A disturbance occurred on Upper Dorray Road.

2:08 p.m., Copperopolis — Vandalism occurred on Basket Lane.

3:01 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone was threatening a neighbor family on Iroquois Circle.

3:06 p.m., Arnold — A disturbance occurred on Longman Lane.

3:13 p.m., San Andreas — Someone was “hitting against the door and the room” at a business on the 700 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

3:27 p.m., San Andreas — Someone was leaving threatening voicemails on the 1300 block of Calaveritas Road.

4:35 p.m., Railroad Flat — A disturbance occurred on North Railroad Flat Road.

4:53 p.m., San Andreas — Someone was being combative at a business on the 700 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

TUESDAY

8:37 a.m., Copperopolis — A fraudulent money order was used at a business on the 3500 block of Spangler Lane.

8:44 a.m., Burson — Someone reported a suspicious gray hatchback imported vehicle with darkened windows at Duck Creek and Burson Road.

11:51 a.m., Murphys — Someone on Old Franke Mine Road paid for parts that haven’t come yet and now the company phone is disconnected. 

1:02 p.m., Sheep Ranch — Someone reported a drug violation on Armstrong Road.

1:06 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was concerned for two dogs in a car on South Main Street.

3:44 p.m., Wilseyville — Someone was snooping in a man’s carport this morning on Charles Street.

4:38 p.m., Copperopolis — Three youth boys were throwing rocks and pieces of concrete at the back of a business on Copper Cove Drive.

6:59 p.m., Murphys — Yard decorations were stolen on Rocky Hill Road.

7:22 p.m., San Andreas — Someone stole from a residence on Foothill Court.

8:15 p.m., Valley Springs — An altercation occurred between a goat and a dog on South Petersburg Road. There have been ongoing issues. 

WEDNESDAY

12:38 a.m., Murphys — A verbal dispute occurred between friends on Nickerson Lane.

1:01 a.m., Valley Springs — An altercation between a couple led to an arrest on Stage Coach Drive.

1:56 a.m., Murphys — Roommates had a dispute on Big Trees Road.
