TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

12:31 a.m., Kennedy Meadows — A cabin and truck were burglarized at Highway 108 and Kennedy Meadows Road.

7:58 a.m., East Sonora — Someone attempted to break into a business on the 19300 block of Village Drive.

9:04 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman said her vehicle was stolen from her driveway on the 24200 block of Live Oak Street.

9:15 a.m., Columbia — Someone vandalized a residence on the 21400 block of Shaws Flat Road with spray paint and cut an electrical line running from a power pole to a well.

10:21 a.m., Jamestown — Someone has been stealing mail from a mailbox on the 17100 block of Chicken Ranch Road and spreading it along the street.

10:25 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 16100 block of Hidden Valley Road reported fraudulent charges on her debit card.

10:36 a.m., Buck Meadows — A vehicle accident was reported on the 7600 block of Highway 120.

12:28 p.m., Jamestown — A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of battery and a 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion on a felony warrant on the 10100 block of Shady Dawn Lane.

1:35 p.m., Tuolumne — A 30-year-old woman was assaulted at a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North and was treated at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She said she was “caught with another woman’s man” but did not know the person who assaulted her. She declined to make a report.

2:40 p.m., Mono Vista — Someone kicked in the door to a house on the 20500 block of North Sunshine Road but did not take anything.

3:01 p.m., Groveland — An iPhone was stolen from the 35200 block of Mather Drive.

6 p.m., Tuolumne — A security officer was assaulted by a guest at a hotel on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

6:51 p.m., Jamestown — A 27-year-old man was arrested on a warrant on the 10600 block of Reservoir Road.

TUESDAY

7:46 a.m., East Sonora — An arrest was made on the 19400 block of Village Drive.

9:17 a.m., Groveland — Five fraudulent payroll checks were cashed a market on the 10000 block of Main Street. 

9:57 a.m., Jamestown — A door was kicked in and food and alcohol stolen from a house on the 16400 block of Highway 108.

10 to 11 a.m., Don Pedro — Several boaters were stopped and given warnings on Lake Don Pedro.

11:10 a.m., La Grange — A couple argued and possibly fought over dryer lint on the 2800 block of Merced Falls Road.

11:17 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 18000 block of Sleepy Hollow Road reported that someone fraudulently bought a new computer with his credit card.

2:06 p.m., Camp Mather — A man claimed his backpack was stolen while working at the Strawberry Music Festival over the weekend. 

5:56 p.m., Long Barn — Cows were in the road on Highway 108 near Snow White Ridge.

Felony bookings

MONDAY

1:48 a.m., Sonora area — Adrian Antonio Vasquez, 22, of the 12800 block of Chukar Circle, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation and possession of narcotics after an arrest on Gold Street at Stewart Street.

TUESDAY

10:33 a.m., Sonora — Zackery Teal Moore, 18, of the 19700 block of Serrano Road, was booked on suspicion of attempted burglary, receiving known stolen property after an arrest on the 10900 block of Racetrack Road. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of possession of burglary tools.

7:07 p.m., Sonora — Kenny Ray Henson, 25, of the 1500 block of Home Avenue, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of burglary, passing a fictitious check, unlawful use of identifying information, drug possession, conspiracy to commit a crime and misdemeanor charges of manufacturing of government identification and possession of drug paraphernalia.

7:07 p.m., Sonora — Thomas Laurance Maloy, 36, of the 1600 block of West Rumble Road, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of burglary, passing a fictitious check, unlawful use of identifying information, drug possession, forgery of vehicle registration, conspiracy to commit a crime and misdemeanor charges of manufacturing of government identification, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a license after an arrest on Greenley Road and Mono Way. 

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

MONDAY

6:30 p.m., Sonora area — Karen Lynn Dickey, 46, of the 17200 block of Margaret Drive, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on the 1000 block of Greenley Road. She was also booked on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

2:45 a.m., theft — A cell phone was taken from a vehicle on the 100 block of Pesce Way.

8:37 a.m., parking — Someone was cited on suspicion of having expired vehicle registration on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

3:34 p.m., traffic accidents — A hit-and-run was reported on the 600 block of South Washington Street. An officer checked the area and told other agencies to be on the lookout for the vehicle that fled the scene.

7:51 p.m., reckless driving — A man was released from medical care but was not supposed to be driving due to seizures. He was seen driving on Mono Way. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle and notified other agencies.

TUESDAY

11:46 p.m., fraud — Check fraud was reported at a business on the 700 block of Mono Way.

12:45 p.m., traffic violation — A man was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license on the 100 block of South Stewart Street.

1:57 p.m., school assist — Juveniles on bicycles were taking items out of unlocked lockers over the weekend. Police contacted three juveniles but the school will be handling the situation.

3:11 p.m., school assist — Police filed a petition with the Tuolumne County Probation Department regarding a juvenile who brought a locking blade knife to Sonora High School. 

4:45 p.m., traffic accident — A car and motorcycle collided at South Washington Street and Stockton Road.

8:11 p.m., unwanted person — Someone tried to steal a satellite dish from a roof on O’Hara Drive. An officer located the person and told him not to return to the property. The caller did not want to press charges.

8:57 p.m., theft — A transient did not pay cab fare.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

8:34 a.m., Burson — A trash bin was on fire on Wade Lane.

9:52 a.m., Copperopolis — Petty theft was reported at Sandy Bar Marina.

10:05 a.m., Valley Springs — A gate at Highway 26 and Gold Creek Drive was vandalized.

8:51 p.m., Angels Camp — A vehicle accident was reported at Highway 4 and Angel Oaks Road. One vehicle went into a ditch.

TUESDAY

9:01 a.m., San Andreas — Citations were issued after a fight at Calaveras River Academy over the weekend.

1:04 p.m., San Andreas — A 27-year-old man was arrested at Turner Park on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

2:43 p.m., Douglas Flat — Solar lights were stolen from the front yard of a residence on Live Oak Drive overnight.

6:31 p.m., San Andreas — A business on Wendell Court was burglarized.

7:10 p.m., Jenny Lind — A woman’s debit card was stolen on Milton Road and she believed it was taken by her ex-boyfriend.

9:54 p.m., Valley Springs — A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and violation of probation on Baldwin Lane.

11:11 p.m., Murphys — A clerk at a business on the 100 block of Highway 4 received a fake $10 bill.

WEDNESDAY

5:02 a.m., San Andreas — A woman said someone entered her home on Robert Avenue and vandalized it.

11:55 a.m., Valley Springs — Drialee Michelle Scott, 45, of the 1000 block of MiWok Drive, Lodi, was booked after an arrest on the 1600 block of Highway 26. She was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

MONDAY

6:50 a.m., Angels Camp — Jay Christopher Whittle, 30, of an unknown address on Bush Street, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and attempted burglary after and misdemeanor charge of possession of drugs without a prescription after an arrest on the 1300 block of Bush Street.

6:09 p.m., Copperopolis area — Michael Joseph Gonzalez, 26, of an unknown address in Stockton, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, threatening crime with the intent to terrorize, possession of drugs for sale and misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving without a license after an arrest on Highway 4 east of Telegraph Court.

6:09 p.m., Copperopolis area — Jennifer Lynn Stanful, 28, of the 200 block of South Laurel Street, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle after an arrest on Highway 4 east of Telegraph Court.
