CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:01 a.m., Copperopolis — Items were stolen from a vehicle on Quail Hill Road.

9:06 a.m., West Point — A phone scam was reported on Winton Road.

12:58 p.m., Burson — Reckless driving was reported at Southworth and Pettinger roads.

1:26 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone was driving erratically at highways 12 and 26. A deputy was unable to locate the driver.

3:15 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.

3:27 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs on the 4500 block of Lombardi Drive.

4:22 p.m., Valley Springs — A rude salesperson was reported on Vista Del Lago Drive.

4:26 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone cut the fence to an electrical plant on Highway 26 and took wiring. 

5:38 p.m., Angels Camp — A possible drunk driver was reported at Highway 49 and Whittle Road.

11:58 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Heinemann Drive and Marsden Lane.

SATURDAY

2:32 a.m., Murphys — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at the Murphys Fire Protection District station.

10:14 a.m., Arnold — A residence on Ponderosa Way was burglarized.

2:50 p.m., San Andreas — A possible intoxicated driver was reported at Highway 49 and Fourth Crossing Road.

2:54 p.m., West Point — A residence was burglarized on Loveland Lane.

FRIDAY

2:50 p.m., San Andreas — Matthew Paul Spurgeon, 46, of the 16900 block of Van Allen Road, Escalon, was booked on suspicion of auto theft, possession of stolen property and forging or altering vehicle registration after an arrest at the California Highway Patrol Office.

SATURDAY

9:55 a.m., Angels Camp — Angela Renee Bevill, 42, of an unknown address in Riverbank, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at Highway 49 and Brunner Hill Drive.

9:55 a.m., Angels Camp — Matthew John Bruns, 32, of an unknown address in Riverbank, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs after an arrest at Highway 49 and Brunner Hill Drive.

4:52 p.m., Angels Camp — William B. Fulton, 63, of the 300 block of South Main Street, was booked after an arrest on Frogtown Road. 

5:46 p.m., Vallecito — Jimmy Patrick Borreani, 45, of the 800 block of Stannage Avenue, Albany, was booked after an arrest on Main Street east of Church Street.

6:30 p.m., San Andreas — Alfred Bert Charlesworth, 72, of the 12500 block of Rising Road, Wilton, was booked after an arrest at Mark Twain Medical Center.

8:09 p.m., Murphys — Giovanni R. Avila, 29, of the 300 block of San Bernabe Drive, Monterey, was booked after an arrest on Jones Street. 

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

10:36 a.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred in the parking lot at Sonora Plaza shopping center on Mono Way. Parties involved exchanged contact information but one of them said the other is not returning phone calls.

4:12 p.m., theft — The theft of prescription medication on South Washington Street was reported.

10:17 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A loud explosion was heard in the area of Knowles Hill, but an officer checked the area and was unable to find the source.

SATURDAY

1:39 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman exposed herself in her yard on South Stewart Street. Police located her, clothed, at a downtown gas station and told her about the complaint.

5:18 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman was running into South Washington Street and kicking cars.

5:21 p.m., public intoxication — A 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violation of probation at North Washington and Snell streets.

7:07 p.m., traffic violations — A 40-year-old man was cited on suspicion of driving without a license and failure to obey traffic control devices on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

8:43 p.m., vandalism, property damage — Vehicle tires were slashed on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

SUNDAY

12:59 a.m., public intoxication — A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at the U.S. Post Office on South Stewart Street.

9:32 a.m., warrant arrest — A 32-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for petty theft and failing to appear in court at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

9:44 a.m., theft — Someone left items on a bench at Rotary Park on Greenley Road. When he returned, the items were missing.

9:49 a.m., theft — Money was taken from a mailbox on East Pasadena Avenue overnight.

10:40 a.m., trespass — Trespassers damaged a vacant house on South Shepherd Street. The owner did not ask police to take a report but requested extra patrol.

12:12 p.m., warrant arrest — A 23-year-old man was arrested at South Washington and Lytton streets on a felony warrant for auto theft, and misdemeanor warrants for petty theft, failing to appear in court and public intoxication.

12:41 p.m., traffic accident — A vehicle crashed through a fence and hit a tree on North Stewart Street. No injuries were reported.

2:58 p.m., reckless driving — Someone was driving recklessly at South Washington Street and Stockton Road. The vehicle left city limits and police transferred the call to the California Highway Patrol.

4:07 p.m., obstructing justice — A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy at a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9:30 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was selling cameras and other items out of his truck on the 100 block of West Stockton Road.

10:40 p.m., reckless driving — A vehicle wasn’t staying in its lane at Stockton Road and Fairview Lane. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:24 a.m., East Sonora — A neighbor shot out the window of a residence on the 14600 block of Mono Way.

8:31 a.m., Twain Harte — A non-injury vehicle accident occurred on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully.

9:17 a.m., Sonora — An 84-year-old man reported missing from the 19900 block of Greenley Road was found nearby about two hours later, saying he just wanted to go for a walk.

10:50 a.m., Columbia — A community post office box with 16 residential boxes was stolen from the 13200 block of Shale Rock Road. 

12:49 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her ex accidentally took her cell phone while they were doing a child exchange and is now refusing to return it to her.

1:51 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman was arrested after law enforcement was called to the 18200 block of Mount Eaton Road by another woman who said she was ranting, raving and spitting and was believed to be under the influence of methadone, methamphetamine and marijuana.

3:46 p.m., Sonora — A woman on the 12900 block of Chukar Circle said her naturalization documents were stolen and include her social security number, her husband’s social security number, her niece’s social security number, her tax returns and other items.

5:06 p.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 18700 block of Sunrise Drive called to report he would be lighting a large fire outside at 3 a.m. to prepare for a luau celebration. He wanted dispatch to know in case someone reported a wildfire.

5:42 p.m., Sonora area — A non-injury rollover vehicle accident occurred on Jamestown Road near Laru Lane.

7:12 p.m., Jamestown area — A report of human bones on the ground near the bridge on Green Springs Road turned out to be deer bones.

7:29 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said he was assaulted on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road.

7:47 p.m., Columbia — A woman was arrested on suspicion of breaking all the windows at a residence on the 22700 block of Four Wheel Drive.

8:28 p.m., Big Oak Flat — A man said another man entered his house, took a machete out of his pants and threatened to cut the first man’s head off. He added that he has a concealed weapon and will take care of the machete wielder if he comes back.

9:48 p.m., patrol check — Two teenage boys were on the roof of a building on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road. 

10:10 p.m., Jamestown — Someone tried to pry open a door on the 18100 block of Main Street sometime between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon.

SATURDAY

7:58 a.m., Columbia — A shed on Orion Mine Road was burglarized.

11:05 a.m., Sonora area — A man was cited on suspicion of three vehicle code violations after driving his motorcycle recklessly on Campo Seco Road. 

4:10 p.m., Twain Harte — A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Fuller Road and Twain Harte Lane.

6:34 p.m., Sonora area — A residence on Crestview Drive was burglarized and an estimated $10,000 worth of items were taken.

10:27 p.m., Sonora area — A man requested extra patrol at his home on the 16600 block of Allison Way after someone slashed a tire on his car.

SUNDAY

12:34 a.m., Jamestown — A fire was reported at Rawhide and Peppermint Creek roads.

8:20 a.m., Soora area — A GPS and chargers were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 17200 block of Valley Oak Drive.

10:53 a.m., Sonora area — Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 21300 block of Crestview Drive.

12:42 p.m., Sonora area — A GPS and iPod cords were taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 21300 block of Evergreen Way overnight.

1:41 p.m., West County — An ID was stolen from a vehicle that was parked on the O’Byrnes Ferry Bridge.

3:19 p.m., La Grange — A child was playing with handcuffs and got locked in them. The handcuffs belonged to his dad, who used to be a police officer, and the family did not have the key.

4:30 p.m., Jamestown — An intoxicated man walked into a home on the 17200 block of Margaret Drive and fell asleep on the couch.

8:55 p.m., Sonora area — Avon products and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 17300 block of Valley Oak Drive overnight.

1:26 p.m., Sonora area — Cynthia Elizabeth Dewitt, 54, of the 2300 block of Ponderosa Drive, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of burglary and forgery after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

1:31 p.m., Soulsbyville — Lacey Marie Huckabee, 29, of the 100 block of Columbia Way, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of false identification to a peace officer after an arrest on Timber Drive. She was also booked on a misdemeanor warrant for driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to appear in court.

8:53 p.m., Columbia — Tahkoda Wayne Sims, 23, of the 22800 block of Four Wheel Drive Trail, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs after an arrest on the 22700 block of Four Wheel Drive Trail.

SATURDAY

8:08 p.m., Sonora — Jacquelyn Christine Duffy, 23, of the 10200 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of stalking and a misdemeanor charge of maliciously destroying someone’s property at a business on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road.

12:09 a.m., Jamestown — Hector Paul Yerena, 50, of the 1100 block of West Lingwood Avenue, Turlock, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Main Street. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license. 

8:53 p.m., Jamestown — Francis Brian Dishart, 61, of the 11100 block of Grizzly Road, Moccasin, was booked after an arrest at Rawhide and Shell roads.

9:35 p.m., Sonora area — Randy Dean Chrisman, 51, of the 1500 block of Oak Park Drive, San Andreas, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Jackass Hill Road. 

SATURDAY

4:04 p.m., Jamestown — Steven Scott Lilly, 49, of the 12800 block of Chukar Circle, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Woods Way. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of drugs. 

7:16 p.m., Tuolumne — Trevor Carl Swanson, 30, of the 18400 block of East Hershey Road, Tuolumne, was booked after an arrest on the 23600 block of Highway 108.
