Obama dodging Benghazi questions

To the Editor:

Looking at the photos and listening to the testimony about what happened during and after the attack in Benghazi was heart wrenching, and even more so since the attack could have been prevented.

President Obama, the State Department and former Secretary Hillary Clinton lied to the American people and people died — yet the Obama administration are still dodging questions after the truth was revealed. Everyone involved in the cover-up of the Benghazi  massacre should be held accountable. No one is above the law, including the President!

Truth matters in all things, but this administration sees all things politically. This is not a political issue — rather it is a national issue about “truth” on matters regarding our country.

Some say the hearings are much ado about nothing.

The President, his Secretary of State, his ambassador to the U.N., his official spokesman, and others in his administration all repeatedly lying to the American people for weeks on end is nothing?

It came out in the recent hearing that State had consciously kept security at the Libyan mission “below standard” for U.S. diplomatic missions in general. In Libya! State, and therefore Hillary, and the occupant of the desk in the Oval Office where the buck famously stops have blood on their hands.

There are many discouraging things about this episode in our country’s history. How could our country not even try to save these men? Who is the weasel(s) who gave the stand-down order? Why is the White House blocking access to Congress to many of the survivors? How could President Obama and Secretary Hillary Clinton stand in front of the caskets and blame the YouTube video, something they surely knew was a lie?

Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone S. Woods deserve justice.
