The Calaveras Redskins defeated the Bret Harte Bullfrogs 7-2 in the final game of the 2013 regular baseball season Wednesday afternoon in Angels Camp.

Derek Rittenhouse and Brian Golston led a 14-hit Redskin attack to sweep their three-game season series with the Bullfrogs, who finished without a win in the Mother Lode League.

Rittenhouse drove in five runs on four hits including a pair of doubles and Golston singled four times, stole three bases and scored four runs. Redskins Thomas Boitano and Jake Souza each added a pair of hits.

Boitano scattered seven hits over six innings of work on the mound. He struck out 10 Bullfrog batters before Redskin closer Christian Moore stepped in and threw a scoreless seventh inning with two strikeouts.

Calaveras (12-10, 9-6 MLL) will host a playoff game Monday afternoon in San Andreas against Lindhurst of the Golden Empire League in an out-bracket round of the 2013 Sac-Joaquin Section Division V Baseball Championships. First pitch is at 4 p.m.

The winner of Monday’s contest will play Escalon on Thursday, May 16, at Billy Hebert Field in Stockton.
