TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following: 

FRIDAY

8:03 a.m., traffic accident — Someone witnessed a driver hit a young man in a crosswalk on North Washington Street. The driver turned onto Elkin Street and did not stop. The pedestrian continued to cross the street. Police were unable to locate the driver.

8:47 a.m., school assist — A used marijuana pipe was found at Sonora Elementary School.

10:44 a.m., vandalism — Someone shot a BB gun and damaged a window at a residence on Sunset Street.

10:47 a.m., traffic violations — A 20-year-old man was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and improper display of license plates on Morning Star Drive.

12:59 p.m., theft — Two men were seen siphoning gas from vehicles in the Sonora Regional Medical Center parking lot. Police were unable to locate them.

9:10 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man wearing a headlamp was seen going through a trash bin on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road. Police determined there was no crime.

9:48 p.m., obstructing justice — A 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, battery on a police officer and violation of probation on South Green Street.

SATURDAY

9:50 a.m., vandalism — A vehicle window was shattered overnight on North Stewart Street.

9:53 a.m., theft — Gas was siphoned from a vehicle on Cielo Vista Way.

12:27 p.m., theft — A man and woman stole a dress and shirt from a business on the 400 block of South Washington Street.

10:07 p.m., assault — A woman was attacked by her father at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. She said he stabbed her in the arm and hand with his keys.

SUNDAY

12:26 p.m., warrant arrest — A 46-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant on Hospital Road.

2:03 p.m., reckless driving — A driver was crossing double yellow lines and speeding on Washington Street. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

7:46 p.m., Sonora — A 68-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in public at Snell and Wyckoff streets.

8:33 p.m., traffic accident — A vehicle was hit by another vehicle while making a U-turn on Washington Street at Snell Street. 

9:16 p.m., vehicle check — Someone was cited on suspicion of driving without vehicle registration on South Washington Street.

9:22 p.m., assault — A man being treated in the Sonora Regional Medical Center emergency room for an assault injury but declined to make a report.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

6:13 a.m., Jamestown — A man’s car was stolen after he picked up two hitchhikers on the 18100 block of Highway 108. The hitchhikers pulled him out of the vehicle, hit him in the face and drove off with his car.

10:29 a.m., Jamestown — A Jamestown Elementary School student threw rocks and students and staff and broke a window.

11:56 a.m., Sonora area — A storage unit on the 12800 block of Covey Circle was burglarized.

12:49 p.m., Jamestown — A hit-and-run was reported on the 18200 block of Highway 108.

12:55 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A 46-year-old man was arrested on Calaveras County warrants at Lama Road Teumete and William Court.

2:35 p.m., Twain Harte — Jewelry was taken from a home on the 23000 block of Fuller Road.

2:39 p.m., Columbia — A 50-year old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Columbia College.

6:04 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Someone entered an unlocked home on the 20900 block of Lama Road Teumete and stole approximately $1,700 from a drawer.

7:21 p.m., Tuolumne — A truck hit a fire hydrant, causing water to pour out. The truck left the scene.

10:02 p.m., Sonora area — A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and cited for possession of marijuana at South Fork and Longeway roads.

1:25 p.m., Jamestown — A change machine at a business on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road was destroyed and money was taken.

8:48 p.m., Sonora area —  While someone was following a reckless driver at Racetrack Road and West Walnut Drive, the driver pointed a gun out the window and fired it.

10:01 p.m., Twain Harte — A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 18400 block of Marquis Drive. 

SUNDAY

12:07 a.m., Twain Harte — A man was punched in the face by another man at a bar on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive.

11:35 a.m., Jamestown — Items were stolen from a vehicle on the 17800 block of Black Bart Drive.

2:17 p.m., Jamestown — Theft of gas was reported on the 11300 block of McKibbin Drive.

2:33 p.m., Jamestown — People have been stealing water from a home on the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue since its occupant died.

2:43 p.m., Jamestown — A residence was burglarized on the 12200 block of Wahine Drive.

8:53 p.m., Columbia — A purse was stolen from a hotel on the 22600 block of Broadway Street.

FRIDAY

4:34 p.m., Sonora area — Rodney Eugean Smith, 43, a transient, was booked on suspicion of transporting or selling drugs after an arrest at the old Whitt Manufacturing lumber plant. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of possession of a knife in a vehicle and violation of probation. 

SATURDAY

3:02 a.m., Tuolumne — Tessie Nicole Odom, 31, of the 18200 block of Mount Eaton Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and possession of drugs in a prison or jail after an arrest on the 18200 block of Mount Eaton Road. She was also booked on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of drugs.

2:31 p.m., Sonora area — Sandra Rose Bremer, 43, of an unknown address in Arnold, was booked on suspicion of possession of marijuana after an arrest on the 600 block of South Washington Street. She was also booked on misdemeanor charges of being under the influence of drugs, driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.

SUNDAY

5:45 p.m., Jamestown — Louis John Grubeck Jr., 31, of the 3700 block of Coffee Road, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft after an arrest on Highway 120 west of Sims Road.

6:47 p.m., Don Pedro — Tyler Chris Angle, 51, of the 6000 block of Leetom Road, Hughson, was booked after an arrest on Bonds Flat Road at the Don Pedro Dam.

1:43 a.m., Sonora — Bethany Nicole Lora, 21, of the 20500 block of Steven Court, Soulsbyville, was booked after an arrest on Snell Street.

2:31 a.m., Sonora area — Ray Aaron Bland, 24, of the 20800 block of Columbia Way, was booked after an arrest on Columbia Way. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving with an open container of alcohol.

8:52 p.m., Jamestown — William Ray Worthington, 23, of the 19000 block of North Drive, was booked after an arrest at his home. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of driving with a suspended license and  exhibiting an imitation firearm. 

SUNDAY

8:01 p.m., Sonora area — Tyler Joseph Devereux, 21, of the 200 block of Theall Street, was booked after an arrest at Bradford and Lower Sunset streets.

11:38 p.m., Sonora area — Patricia Davis, 66, of the 19100 block of Black Oak Road, was booked after an arrest on Tuolumne Road at Standard Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:12 p.m., Valley Springs — A 53-year-old man was arrested on felony and misdemeanor warrants on Evans Road.

9:25 p.m.,  San Andreas — A man wearing a Santa Claus suit went into a business on the 100 block of East St. Charles Street, went to a locked door and said “ho, ho, ho.” He then left the business and drove away in a station wagon. 

10:23 a.m., Copperopolis — Mailboxes on Spangler Lane were pried open and mail was taken.

10:24 a.m., Rancho Calaveras — A 25-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for violation of probation at Highway 26 and Heinemann Drive. 

12:35 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A residence on Michel Road was burglarized.

3:13 p.m., Murphys — A business on the 100 block of Big Trees Road was burglarized.

10:10 p.m., Valley Springs — People in a parking lot on the 100 block of Highway 12 were hitting golf balls across the highway.

SATURDAY

8:31 a.m., Copperopolis — A residence on Cosmic Court was burglarized.

12:01 p.m., Valley Springs — Battery was reported on McClintock Court.

12:55 p.m., San Andreas — A residence on the 500 block of Lewis Avenue was burglarized.

3:24 p.m., Wallace — Burglary was reported at the U.S. Post Office on Camanche Parkway South.

4:10 p.m. San Andreas — A gate on Old Oak Road was vandalized.

12:08 a.m., Valley Springs — A 45-year-old man was arrested on Sequoia Avenue on a misdemeanor warrant for violation of probation.

9:14 a.m., Milton — The Calaveras County Solid Waste facility on Hunt Road was burglarized.

1:11 p.m., Vallecito — Burglary was reported on the 6800 block of Stud Horse Flat Road.

5:30 p.m., Campo Seco — A residence on Campo Seco Road was burglarized.

8:29 p.m., Burson — Burglary was reported on Brandy Lane.

9:03 p.m., San Andreas — A 22-year-old woman was arrested on misdemeanor warrants at Turner Park.

11:59 p.m., Valley Springs area — Tony Cleo Bell, 22, of the 1800 block of Lauralee Court, Modesto, was booked after an arrest on South Petersburg Road.

8 p.m., Copperopolis area — Robert William Simpson, 61, of the 200 block of Sunrise Road, Copperopolis, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Upper Telegraph Court.

9:20 p.m., Valley Springs — Kathy Marie Juhasz, 55, of the 16100 block of Sheridan Way, Wallace, was booked after an arrest on South Camanche Road south of Pattison Road.
