TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

12:55 p.m., animal complaints — Three dogs were in a backyard fighting on East Jackson Street. The dog that resides at the home was secured in the backyard. The other dogs left the area and an officer was unable to catch them.

12:56 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Three men were using metal detectors on Cemetery Lane.

3:59 p.m., theft — A catalytic converter was stolen from a truck parked on West Bradford Avenue sometime between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

5 p.m., traffic violation — A woman said a vehicle in front of her was stopped at the crosswalk in front of Sonora High School. The woman honked her horn, and a passenger in the rear of the vehicle in front got out, cussed at her and tried to open her car door, then took off on foot heading south on Washington Street.

5:27 p.m., theft — A woman was cited on a shoplifting charge at a business on Sanguinetti Road.

7:24 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A Shaws Flat Road woman said she came home to find items disturbed in her house and the bathroom used. Extra patrol will be provided.

7:31 p.m., traffic accident — Someone hit a parked car on Shaws Flat Road, knocking off the car mirror.

9:31 p.m., public intoxication — A woman called for help, saying she was intoxicated and fell and hit her head in a South Stewart Street parking lot. She then went into a bar on South Washington Street, where she was arrested after causing a disturbance.

SATURDAY

5:09 p.m., warrant arrest — A 28-year-old man was arrested at Rotary Park on misdemeanor warrants for contempt of court and assault.

8:05 p.m., liquor violation — A man purchased alcohol for minors at a business on the 800 block of Mono Way. An employee retrieved the alcohol and the man left with the minors. Police were unable to locate the man and notified other law enforcement agencies.

9:11 p.m., warrant arrest — A 24-year-old man was arrested on the 400 block of Greenley Road on a felony warrant for assault and a misdemeanor warrant for driving with a suspended license.

SUNDAY

3:08 p.m., drugs — A 51-year-old man was cited on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and warned for speeding on Stockton Road.

4:03 p.m., traffic accident — A sport bike crashed on Highway 49, causing property damage.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:33 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Two packages were stolen from outside a residence on the 24000 block of Lama Road.

12:27 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Clothes were taken from a washing machine at a coin-op laundry on the 24500 block of Highway 108.

1:25 p.m., East Sonora — A man left six children, all under 11 years old, in his truck while he shopped at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way for about 10 minutes. He admitted it was a poor choice to a bystander who confronted him and said he usually has a nanny. A deputy conducted a welfare check and determined the kids were OK.

1:32 p.m., Sonora area — Someone backed into a fence on the 14500 block of Algerine Wards Ferry Road.

6:42 p.m., Don Pedro — A home on the 4900 block of Arbolada Drive was burglarized. A TV and jewelry were taken.

6:54 p.m., Columbia — A man was going door-to-door on the 11400 block of Columbia Village Drive trying to sell meat out of the freezer in his pickup truck. The man was gone when a deputy arrived.

8:38 p.m., Twain Harte — A vacation home on the 18800 block of Laurel Avenue was broken into but nothing was taken.

9:03 p.m., Sonora area — A 57-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant on the 20700 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road. 

10:45 p.m., Sonora area — People started a bonfire and were shooting shotguns at Yankee Hill and Shanghai Mine roads. They were asked to leave.

SATURDAY

8:45 a.m., Columbia — Someone attempted to break into a home from an alley on the 23600 block of Marble Quarry Road.

4:20 p.m., Don Pedro — A residence on the 5300 block of Enramada Drive was burglarized.

7 p.m., Jamestown — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office requested a deputy to respond to Sonora Regional Medical Center and take a courtesy report regarding a boating accident on Lake Tulloch.

7:28 p.m., Sonora area — A fire was reported on the 20300 block of Sturgis Road.

10:39 p.m., Jamestown — A fire was reported near a propane tank on 10300 block of Willow Street.

SUNDAY

1:50 a.m., Tuolumne — A hit-and-run was reported at Yosemite Road and Oak Street and law enforcement was trying to locate the driver.

10:30 a.m., Twain Harte — A man was walking his dog on the 22400 block Robin Hood Drive and was attacked by his neighbor’s pit bull.

10:47 a.m., Sonora area — A generator was stolen from a motorhome on the 20800 block of Saratoga Road.

4:12 p.m., Jamestown — A vehicle was broken into on the 10300 block of Willow Street. Nothing appeared to missing but the owner later discovered a fraudulent charge for a plane ticket on her credit card statement.

8:48 p.m., East Sonora — Meghan Elizabeth Keagy, 22, of the 1200 block of Chukar Circle, was booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

SATURDAY

7:55 p.m., East Sonora — Andrew James Lee, 20, of the 400 block of Russell Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Mono Way at Standard Road.

7:47 p.m., Jamestown — Douglas Alan Yates, 32, a transient, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest at Rocca Park. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. 

10:02 p.m., Sonora — Theresa Renee Hull, 48, of the 400 block of Greenley Road, was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to a crime and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a police officer or emergency technician after an arrest at her home.

12:45 a.m., Columbia — Sara Linda Rayo, 35, of the 10900 block of State Street, was booked after an arrest at her home. She was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license.

5:18 p.m., Sonora — Garren Blaine Fleeman, 48, of the 22200 block of North Tuolumne Road, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

SATURDAY

7:47 p.m., Twain Harte — Theodore George Mantzouranis, 43, of the 19800 block of Mi Wu Street, Tuolumne, was booked after an arrest on Confidence Road east of Cedar Springs Road. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a license suspended for a DUI.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:08 a.m., Arnold — A tractor window was shot out on Wawona Way.

10:36 a.m., San Andreas — A student’s car was keyed in the Calaveras High School parking lot.

11:29 a.m., Murphys — Plants were dug up and hanging baskets were stolen from a winery on the 400 block of North Algiers Street.

2:29 p.m., West Point — A property on Barney Way was burglarized and electrical equipment was damaged. 

2:51 p.m., San Andreas — Someone was arrested on a warrant at Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services.

2:59 p.m., Valley Springs — An unattended fire was reported at Highway 12 and Double Springs Road.

3:04 p.m., Rail Road Flat — A water heater was stolen on South Railroad Flat Road.

3:58 p.m., San Andreas — Someone was cited on suspicion of violating a court order at a business on the 400 block of East St. Charles Street.

5:32 p.m., Valley Springs — Possible poaching was reported on South Petersburg Road.

6:38 p.m., Burson — A deputy talked with someone who was seen beating a dog on Wade Lane.

8:28 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone was arrested on a warrant on Morado Circle.

SATURDAY

8:44 a.m., West Point — A residence on Jurs Road was burglarized.

10:18 a.m., Wallace — A mailbox was broken into at the U.S. Post Office on Camanche Parkway South.

11:18 a.m., San Andreas — A residence on Pope Street was burglarized.

12:39 p.m., Arnold — Vandalized fencing was reported on Shady Circle. The caller said it is an ongoing problem.

SUNDAY

2:13 p.m., San Andreas — A possible drunk driver was reported at Mountain Ranch and Calaveritas roads.

4:38 p.m., San Andreas — Theft was reported at a business on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street.

6:05 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A property was burglarized on Victor Court.

11:40 p.m, Murphys — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Highway 4 and Bret Harte Drive.

MONDAY

7:32 a.m., Wallace — More mailboxes at the U.S. Post Office on Camanche Parkway South were broken into over the weekend.

10:30 a.m., San Andreas — Curtis John Borland, 25, of an unknown address in San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of drugs after an arrest on the 400 block of East St. Charles Street.

3:20 p.m., San Andreas — Michael Alan White Sr., 60, of the 200 block of East Highway 4, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation after an arrest at the Calaveras County Day Reporting Center.

4:17 p.m., Angels Camp — Joseph Mark Wilson, 34, of the 300 block of Murphys Grade Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury and a misdemeanor charge of violating a protective order after an arrest at his home. 

SATURDAY

10:43 p.m., San Andreas — Joyce Morreen Turpin, 32, of the 400 block of East St. Charles Street, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of battery after an arrest on the 100 block of Main Street.

SUNDAY

4:35 p.m., Valley Springs — Mauro Alonso Gonzalez, 39, of the 900 block of St. Andrews Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and assault with a deadly weapon after an arrest at his home.
