A new court executive officer and jury commissioner, Jeanine D. Tucker, started at Tuolumne County Superior Court on Monday.

She is replacing Jeanne Caughell, who retired in December.

Tucker had worked for the Stanislaus County Superior Court since 1991. She most recently served as the operations manager for eight years, managing a staff of about 140 employees.

Tucker earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and juris doctorate from Santa Clara University.

She is also a certified court manager through the Institute of Court Management.

A member of the National Association of Court Management, Tucker is co-editor of its electronic newsletter — “Court Express.” The newsletter has a circulation of close to 2,000 court managers nationwide.

“I always knew that Jeanine had the skills and background to move within the court system and ultimately reach the top of her field,” Stanislaus County Superior Court Judge Nancy Ashley said in a statement.
