The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:09 a.m., public intoxication — An officer determined that a man reported to be intoxicated on Stockton Road had been drinking but was not intoxicated. The officer gave him a ride to Jamestown.

1:03 p.m., traffic accident — A driver wanted to document that a man on a bicycle who ran into his vehicle at South Washington Street and Restano Way, said he was OK.

11:55 p.m., burglary — A man said a heavy-set man with a muscular build tried to break into his Dragoon Circle residence through a bedroom window, then ran off toward Arbona Circle.

SATURDAY

1:59 a.m., trespass — A transient found inside a closed business on Stockton Road refused to leave until officers arrived. 

2:08 a.m., public intoxication — An officer doing a bar check on South Washington Street ended up arresting a 37-year-old man nearby on suspicion of public intoxication.

10:02 p.m., disorderly conduct — Someone complained about a group of people on the Sonora High School football field talking loudly and possibly drinking alcohol. An officer determined they had left the area and alcohol was not involved.

SUNDAY

10:58 p.m., vehicle theft — A car was stolen on South Washington Street sometime after 4 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:57 a.m., Sonora area — The stove at a home on the 12600 block Red Chestnut Lane caught fire.

1:08 p.m. Mi-Wuk Village — A vacation home on the 24300 block of Lama Road was burglarized.

2:03 p.m., Jamestown — A person fell for a phone scam and lost about $3,000.

2:38 p.m., Sonora area — A woman left a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way and set off the theft alarm. The deputy was unable to locate her.

3:29 p.m., Long Barn — A man walking near Highway 108 and Stoddard Springs Road was possibly carrying a gun. Deputies were unable to locate him.

3:43 p.m., Jamestown — A man said his neighbors have been shooting paintballs and throwing rocks at his house on the 19200 block of Ninth Avenue.

8:08 p.m., Sonora area — A man’s house on the 16600 block of Allison Way was egged.

10:06 p.m., Twain Harte — A GPS and paperwork were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 22900 block of Black Oak Drive. 

10:24 p.m., Twain Harte — A purse was stolen from a car on the 23000 block of Fuller Road.

SATURDAY

4:23 a.m., Sonora area — A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after causing a disturbance at her mother’s house.

1:05 p.m., Sonora area — A man received a letter in the mail on the 18300 block of Wards Ferry Road stating he could receive over $1 million if he provided personal information.

1:46 p.m., Jamestown — Three people were throwing soda cans at passing cars on the 18300 block of Highway 108. 

1:49 p.m., Twain Harte — Change and a wedding ring were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 22800 block of Black Oak Drive.

1:59 p.m., Twain Harte — An iPod and prescription sunglasses were stolen from a locked vehicle on the 22800 block of Black Oak Drive.

5:12 p.m., Sonora area — A man walked out of a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way with a basket full of items he did not pay for.

SUNDAY

4:41 a.m., Sonora area — A man said he was jumped on the 14800 block of Mono Way but did not identify his attackers or complete a report.

8:17 a.m., Sonora area — A house on the 16900 block of Oak Tree Lane caught fire.

11:54 a.m., Sonora area — A house on the 20600 block of Gopher Drive was burglarized.

4:55 p.m., Sonora area — The catalytic converter of a vehicle was cut when it was parked on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

6:40 p.m., Sonora area — Two men got into a fight during a soccer game on the 14900 block of Camage Avenue.

6:41 p.m., Sonora area — A van’s window was smashed on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane.

6:46 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her neighbors’ kids have been setting off small bombs on the 16200 block of Crestridge Avenue.

10:31 p.m., Twain Harte — A possible drug deal was reported on the 18100 block of Lakeview Drive.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

8:20 a.m., Tuolumne — Kody Levi Ingram, 21, of the 17400 block of Highway 108, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale and abusing or endangering the health of a child after an arrest on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. 

9 a.m., Tuolumne — Megan Suzann Jacka, 37, of the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale and abusing or endangering the health of a child after an arrest at Madrone Street and Fir Avenue. She was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic needle.

9:59 a.m., Tuolumne — Christopher Scott Starr, 33, of the 18300 block of Main Street, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation and possession of drugs after an arrest on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a stun gun.

5:30 p.m., Tuolumne — Melody Jo Timmons, 44, of Tuolumne, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs, and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drunk and disorderly conduct after an arrest on the 19400 block of Mi-Wuk Street. 

SATURDAY

9:59 a.m., Sonora area — Shawna Marie Alexander, 28, of the 16900 block of Tehachapi Court, was booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property and violation of probation after an arrest at her home.

9:59 a.m., Sonora area — David Leigh Hudson, 42, of the 16900 block of Tehachapi Court, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary, possession of stolen property and violation of probation after an arrest at his home.

9:47 p.m., Tuolumne — Marc Edward Kleinfeldt, 49, of the 1200 block of Rainier Avenue, Pacifica, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, causing great bodily injury after an arrest at Carter Street and Bay Avenue. 

 SUNDAY

3:36 p.m., Sonora area — Ruben Diaz Cortez, 40, of the 10600 block of Seventh Street, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs after an arrest on Mono Way.

9 p.m., Twain Harte — Joshua John Louis Canepa, 27, of the 13600 block of Red Hills Road, Chinese Camp, was booked after an arrest on Twain Harte Drive.

10:44 p.m., Sonora area — Theodore George Mantzouranis, 43, of the 19800 block of Mi-Wuk Street, Tuolumne, was booked after an arrest on the 20900 block of Longeway Road. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of drugs.

SATURDAY

12:47 a.m., Tuolumne — Donald Wing Sawtelle, 53, of the 22500 block of Elizabeth Lane, was booked after an arrest at Tuolumne and Cherokee roads.

2:07 a.m., Twain Harte — Brianna Lynn Herrero, 19, of the 22000 block of Red Gulch Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Twain Harte Drive at Hunts Road.

3:08 a.m., Tuolumne — Melissa Anne Wiest, 22, of the 20000 block of Hani Drive, was booked after an arrest on Carter Street.

8:35 p.m., Twain Harte — Jared Ray James, 29, of the 20100 block of Highway 108, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 and Middle Camp Sugar Pine Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:47 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A burglary occurred on Ponderosa Way.

1:03 p.m., San Andreas — An unattended backpack was left under a payphone at the Calaveras County Courthouse on Mountain Ranch Road.

2:28 p.m., Arnold — Someone broke into a cabin on Anna Lee Way. The place was left in a mess and many items were taken.

5:02 p.m., Valley Springs — An arrest on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon was made after officers responded to a report of a physical altercation on Anderson Street.

10:43 p.m., Arnold — A residence on El Dorado Drive was vandalized.

SATURDAY

12:57 a.m., Valley Springs — A prowler opened the door of a residence on Pine Valley Court but left when the resident yelled.

9:13 a.m., Arnold — A vacation home on Rainy Drive was vandalized.

11:48 a.m., Copperopolis — Someone knocked down real estate signs and tree branches on Bluff View Road.

SUNDAY

11:01 a.m., Sheep Ranch — A man was arrested on suspicion of battery on Main Street.

3:29 p.m., Arnold — A residence on Patricia Lane was burglarized.

3:41 p.m., Valley Springs — A person was advised to not return to the area after a fight on Laurel Street.

6:32 p.m., Valley Springs — Skateboarders were trespassing at a business on Highway 12.

7:03 p.m., Copperopolis — Parties were counseled after a fight on Wagonwheel Drive.

8:29 p.m., Arnold — A residence was burglarized on Thunderbolt Trail.

8:50 p.m., Valley Springs — Ricardo Rosales Rivera Jr., 34, of the 4300 block of High Country Road, San Andreas, was booked after an arrest at Highway 12 and Cedar Street.
