TUOLUMNE COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reports the following:

 

WEDNESDAY

12:26 a.m., Sonora — A camera, cell phone, knife and other miscellaneous items were taken from a vehicle on the 9800 block of Highway 49.

12:56 a.m., Sonora — A vehicle was reported stolen on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle.

8:59 a.m., Sonora Meadows — An unoccupied stolen car was recovered on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive.

9:37 a.m., Jamestown — A man on the 17700 block of Highway 108 arrived at his father’s home to find his sister, who is not allowed at the residence, there with a man. He believed they were under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and had broken a window.

10:13 a.m., Jamestown — A car on the 10600 block of Maple Alley was broken into and several items were taken including a red 2-ton car jack, amplifier with the initials T.B.  carved in front, two 12-inch sub-woofers and a Pioneer CD/bluetooth deck.

10:21 a.m., Long Barn — Someone called a man saying his insurance was going to be switched to a state-run program and asked for personal information. He wanted people to know a new scam was going on.

11:54 a.m., Groveland — Two chain saws and some gas were stolen from a locked shed on the 11000 block of Merrell Road.

1:24 p.m., Sonora area — A box of personal checks was stolen from a mailbox on the 20700 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road.

10:58 p.m., Columbia — Several people were fighting in the street outside a residence on the 11300 block of Columbia Village Drive.

 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following: 

 

WEDNESDAY

12:15 p.m., public intoxication — Officers were called to a West Jackson Street location about an argument over keys. It turned out someone had taken the keys of a woman they believed to be intoxicated. She was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

2:44 p.m., theft — A theft occurred at Earth and Ocean Boardshop in the Timberhills Shopping Center on Mono Way.

3:41 p.m., burglary — An Oakside Drive residence was burglarized and jewelry was taken.

8:17 p.m., public intoxication — An elderly man sitting on a bench in front of a store on Sanguinetti Road was detained on a public intoxication charge, then released.

 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:30 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone tried to break into a business and broke a window on Highway 26 during the night.

9:35 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A man walking by a house on Garabaldi Street in a camo jacket said he was looking for a 350-pound mountain lion, then went to a neighbor’s house asking for gas.

1:52 p.m., Arnold — A battery was reported during a family dispute on Fifth Green Drive.

2:32 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman took clothes off the outside rack in front of a store on High way 12.

4:03 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was tearing up an awning on Highway 49.

4:40 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone on Salmon Road heard an explosion, then saw flames in the neighbor’s back yard. No report was taken.

Felony booking:

WEDNESDAY

7:20 p.m., Valley Springs — Patrick James Slough, 33, of the 8000 block of Savage Way in Valley Springs was charged with inflicting corporal injury and false imprisonment with violence after arrest at his home.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

MONDAY

11:50 a.m., Arnold — David Bruce Orvis, 24, of the 2500 block of Ruth Lane, was booked after an arrest on Love Creek Road, south of Moran Road. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

TUESDAY

12:20 p.m., Campo Seco — Kimberly Kae Laub, 42, of the 4100 block of Campo Seco Road, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of drugs, being under the influence of drugs and driving a vehicle as an addict.
