The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
TUESDAY 7:19 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 18000 block of Lime Kiln Drive said while she was away from her residence, someone took clothes and a mattress pad and left a knife. 7:27 p.m., Groveland — Someone left nails scattered behind a truck, a bag saying “Happy Halloween” and a sandwich bag, possible with marijuana in it, all in a driveway on the 19300 block of Ferretti Road. 12:45 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said someone has been throwing things at cars on the 10600 block of Campo Seco Road over the past three days and causing damage. 2:37 p.m., Pinecrest — A sound system and some physical education equipment were taken from the former Pinecrest School on the 30400 block of Old Strawberry Road. 2:56 p.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 20000 block of Waif Mine Road asked for extra patrol at night because gas keeps being siphoned from her vehicle. 3:01 p.m., Tuolumne — Two women tried to pass two fraudulent checks at Black Oak Casino on the 19400 block of North Tuolumne Road, then left immediately. 4:15 p.m., Twain Harte — A man was using multiple compressed air bottles to huff on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive. The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
TUESDAY 10:06 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone asked for extra patrol at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive because of frequent liquor and drug violations. 10:29 a.m., traffic violation — A person was almost hit in the crosswalk at Sonora High School. 11:29 a.m., traffic accident — An elderly driver backed up and hit a window at AT&T on Old Wards Ferry Road. 4:55 p.m., public intoxication — A man sitting next to a store on Sanguinetti Road with an open alcoholic container was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. 5:07 p.m., vandalism — The oil was drained from a vehicle parked at a business on Sanguinetti Road.
CALAVERAS COUNTY
The Sheriff’s Department reported the following:
TUESDAY 8:42 a.m., Valley Springs — A stereo and battery were stolen from a vehicle on Saint Andrews Drive. 2:37 p.m., Valley Springs — A counterfeit $5 bill was passed at a gas station on Nove Way. 9:08 p.m., Valley Springs — A person was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Hogan Dam Road. |
